|
All going to campaign for Chambliss? wow http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/11/battle-for-2012.htmlNot sure if Obama wants to get into this. But maybe Bill Clinton should help out if he can?

1. Obama shouldn't get involved... |
|
It's largely out of his hands and if he gets involved and the guy loses it'll make Obama look weak.
Maybe Obama can cut an ad for him or send out emails to his list in Georgia, but I don't think he should campaign for him.

2. If Obama thinks he can help, he'll help. |
|
Something tells me that Obama isn't real worried about appearing "weak" at this point.

and send our own dream team down there to campaign. Maybe even Obama, but at least start with both Clintons.

4. Georgia gets what it deserves. |

Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 12:14 PM by onehandle
We voted for McBush and the Grifter.
We deserve this five student deferment draft dodger and not a war hero like Max Cleland or Jim Martin. who served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
We deserve this throwback to the Bush years.

5. I'm not optimistic about the run-off |
|
There was a run-off in 1992, too, for the senate. On election night democrat Wyche Fowler narrowly led republican Paul Corvedall, but didn't get 50.1%, so there was a run-off and in the run-off, the republican narrowly won. I think it will be hard to get the kind of turnout among the base we need to win in a run-off election.

6. Why Chambliss...? I guess it's the only one they can |
|
'campaign' for, given the run-off. But I can't say I've seen any evidence of the GOP circling wagons around Norm Coleman or Ted Stevens. I wonder if a) they figure the other two are done deals, lost seats already and they have to hold the line at Chambliss, or b) Chambliss is special for some other reason. As Senator, would Jim Martin be allowed to snoop around in the Chambliss/Cleland race? Or 'request' additional info linking Chambliss/SOS Cox and Diebold?
Still surprised McCain wants to be publicly linked to the scumbag wing of the Republican party so soon after having his 'M for Maverick' brand stamped upside down on his ass as it was handed to him.

7. I would love to see Democrats dump a huge amount of $$ into this runoff race... |
|
Why sit on $10 million when we can help get rid of one of the worst Repubs?
Added Bonus: make sure people know that McCain, Palin, Romney, Huckabee and Giuliani hitched their wagons to Chambliss in a 'RED STATE' and got handed another defeat in the runoff election. Would go a long way to helping keep Repubs demoralized and split.

8. Seems like having that crew show |

up en masse in GA would do a terrific job of motivating Democrats. Every last one of them is a blatant reminder of the failure of the Republican Party.
