Why is Obama flying separately from Michelle? I don't like that.
Especially, with the WH arranging flight arrangements.

13. Air Force One is the safest ride on earth.
That being said, I bet Bush would never send it to pick them up.

2. They have two children to consider. Remember the Wellstones.
Or, it could be something as simple as two different schedules.

27. Yep.
Michelle is staying behind so the kids can come after school.

They showed video earlier of Obama taking the two girls to school. I'm assuming Michelle will pick them up and then the 3 of them will fly to D.C. where they will meet up with Obama.

42. They had said the girls would not be going today
This is the time for Michelle to get the full tour and a chance to really talk with Laura about life in the WH. Plus I thought the visit was long before the time school gets out plus flight time.

8. My husband and I NEVER fly on the same plane.
We want to leave one parent alive for our daughter. It's morbid, but there's always a chance. However, the chances of BOTH of our planes going down on the same day are a brazillion to one. So we fly separately.

16. Do you never ride in the same car?
You do know you are a brazillion times more likely to be killed in a car than a plane, right?

23. we all know our public schools need improvement, We also know that he has always been
a father and a husband first, and a politician second.

Choosing public schools for his children just so it scores political points isn't right.

so, No. DC public schools are not good enough for them. They are not good enough Period. Unfortunately many people do not have any better choice.

So to answer your question: DC public schools are NOT good enough for them. All public schools in urban areas need a major rehauling.
