Anyone seen "Jesus Camp"? I wonder if they're going to have a life-sized picture of Obama!? |
|
For those who didn't see it (and I didn't watch the whole thing, I got the idea) in the 'camp' they had a life sized cut-out of President Bush. When asked why it was there, the woman insisted that it was there because they respect the office of the President, and that any President would be in that spot, not just Bush.
Just wondering if they're planning to keep that promise....?

1. Yeah, my roommates and I just watched it last Friday |
|
And their reasoning for "praying over Bush" was bullshit. If you really think about it, he's almost an idol to them and isn't there something in the Bible about worshiping false idols? They love Bush because he's a religious zealot like them. I think we'd see them burning Obama's cut-out instead of praying over it.

locked up. Twice.
I truly felt sorry for those kids.

I thought, this woman is batshit crazy as are the parents that send their children. Just imagine how dysfunctional these kids are going to be when they grow up.

7. Those kids will BE their parents, raising a new generation in the same close-minded, guilt ridden, |
|
supremacist, gotta-die-for-Gawd attitude.
Some will become atheists, some will commit suicide, some will migrate to an even MORE extreme version of fundementalism.
But the overwhelming majority off them will simply become their parents.

I don't wonder if they're planning to keep that promise. I'm pretty sure they won't.

I can only imagine that they will have a lifesize cutout of Obama.
For some reason I don't think they'll be using it in the same way they did Bush's.
I hope any such negative use will be documented.
Those ass clowns sicken me.

I found it to be scarier than any horror film. I feel so sorry those kids. Hopefully many of them go off to college and see a different world than the one their parents show them.
I'm sure they won't support Obama. It would be interesting to see how they would justify it though...they would probably ramble on about Obama "does not support the right to life."

17. Same here. I didn't need to see any more than 20-30 minutes... |
|
Your allusion to a horror film is good.
Kudos to the documentary makers for adopting enough sympathy to be allowed to film it and not piss the lot of them off and get thrown out.
But burned in my head was the cut-out of Bush and her claim (which was so much BS) that she'd be respecting any President that way.
I won't be holding my breath.
