Oh to be a fly on the wall as GWB and Laura give the Obamas' their tour of the White House...
that is all...nothing ground breaking...it was just incredibly satisfying to see the four of them outside of the White House...wave at the crowds just now...

Proud, proud, proud...

2. On occasions like this, GWB has shown the ability to 'act nice', which is different...
from actually being nice.

Laura probably wants to make a break for it, right NOW.

9. Every time I hear the 'fly on the wall' stuff I think of Carla from Cheers...
She had the best response ever to that line... "Sure you'd be better looking but would you be happier?"

 sorry... couldn't resist. :hi:

11. id 100% wager that George and Laura actually... REALLY like the obamas
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 03:07 PM by Essene
I think Bush is a failure, but i think on some level he really believes in meritocracy, in american democracy and seeing strong minorities rise up to lead the nation (i.e. look at his own admin). On some strange level, i think Bush is a very sincere guy on faith and family and reacts to politics on a very personal level.

I think Bush doesn't like Mccain... hated Palin... and probably really likes Obama.

I think Bush probably is delighted with his story, his faith and his family.
