and mild fondness for Laura Bush. yeah, she has horrible taste in men and clothes, but I just kind of like her.

I gained some respect for her when she did that
And honestly, I never strongly disliked her. She actually comes from a Democratic family, and unlike Cindy McCain, I don't remember her being an attack dog on the campaign trail.

29. I don't understand her taste in clothes.
She always seems to pick the most unflattering things possible.

She's really quite pretty and would terrific in more flattering clothes.

I think if she'd had her druthers, she'd be a Democrat.

Still ... Wow. She has HORRIBLE taste in men. x(

Without a doubt the most vacuous woman ever to inhabit the WH, but if you like her, feel free!

28. She's like a "Tom Cruise wife. To be seen and not heard." That's what
Kidman said and those rethugs I know are the same way. Their wives just smile and nod. Their husbands talk to me though. Guess I'm more interesting (and a blonde)...Hahaha

She does seem about as dumb as Bush. She used to come out and do interviews right after inauguration. Yeah... not the brightest bulb in Texas.

30. yeah, I have never understood all the dislike for her
She seems like a nice woman, trapped in a situation she had no control over, making the best of it in a very gracious way. She is NOTHING like Barbara Bush the Elder.

on Jim Jones last night. Some of the women who had survived living in his community in Guyana seemed rather nice. I wasn't impressed with their taste in clothes, nor in men. But they seemed very pleasant.

35. I've always felt very sorry for her
She has never been mean, that I can recall. She's had a tough eight years, what with a drunken murderer for a husband and those party animal daughters. Even when she was all glassy-eyed and we suspected chemical mood enhancement, I never held it against her. They would have needed to keep me heavily sedated if I were in her shoes! She is surely a lot stronger person than we know.

I wish her well, and I am thankful she stuck it out with the asshat to the end of his habitation of the stolen office.
