Can someone explain the hate?
I'll admit I hate Bush, but I am not so delusional that I will criticize every single little thing that has nothing really to do with him. I think of Laura as an enabler of the Chimp, but if she wears a pretty outfit I can say that. The haters of Obama are something else though. There is NOTHING to small for them to say something vile about. Their hatred of Michelle is almost more than their hatred of Barak. Just now, reading some sites, the 2 little girls are called "spawn", Sasha's name is proof they are Communists because the name is of Russian origin, Michelle is an amazon and as ugly as Eleanor Roosevelt, and on and on. And this is just because they are set off because M and B are in the White House. I can't understand being this paranoid and delusional.

1. It does you credit that you can't understand blind hate.
But one must learn to recognize it and deal with it, nonetheless.

2. I don't think any of us can really explain it or understand it
beyond some abnormal psychological analysis. We have to not take what they say personally, but we don't have to stand for it either. I will defend Barack and Michelle and their lovely family at every opportunity as if they were my very own flesh and blood.

3. Part of it....
....is they're using the same playbook used against the Clintons in 1992. Nothing too small for them to hate, and the kids are not off limits either.

5. These people have ugly souls.
Anyone who could call those beautiful, sweet little girls 'spawns' are evil to the core. They have no humanity. I really wish Jeebus would come and collect the garbage.

6. Well many of us did the same to Bush , seriously. I used to
see the Bush girls degraded and Laura called a drug addict and recently folks were still criticising her clothing. Hate is hate on whatever side and it shouldn't extend to the families, especially the children, IMHO.But this will always exist. I remeber when Amy carter was mocked and look what they said about Chelsea and Hillary wasn't treated any better.

8. They're haters is why
Seeing a beautiful intelligent successful vibrant pair like Barack and Michelle, raising their equally beautiful brood reminds them of their own shortcomings and makes them burn with jealousy.

10. They're simply racist. They see white supremacy and privilege threatened.
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 03:20 PM by political_Dem
As a result, they are going to do use everything in their prejudicial view to discount anything that Mr. Obama and his family do. They view him as inferior and unworthy to be President. Not only that, they view him as sub-human in general. I'll tell you one thing, if they are speaking this way about Mr. Obama, they most certainly have the same views about people of color (especially Black people).

The ironic thing is that when you confront these blowhards, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, "I'm not racist." :eyes:

Please.

18. They are now calling Michelle "Blackie O"
because she has been compared to Jackie O by some pundits who like her fashion sense. But, no, they consider Barak to be a racist, not themselves.

19. It's all about denying their own feelings about race.
Edited on Tue Nov-11-08 04:36 AM by political_Dem
As long as they are "deluded" into thinking that they "don't see a color" and that they aren't "racist", then they are free to say anything racist that comes to their minds.

Because of their fear and hatred of diversity, anyone talking about "race" is the racist. It doesn't surprise me.

Race-relations 101 by the dominant culture has always been about denying privilege, diversity, and race while receiving the benefits of skin color. In that way, no one is ever culpable for their racism. And the self-appointed "superiority" stays in tact because it is disguised as "equality".

Because the idea of "sameness" is twisted to suit this mindset, you can witness someone from the dominant culture to say "Blackie O" and in the next breath they don't think anything about it. They don't even think that it is a hurtful statement to anyone because "they see everyone the same" and "they are not racist".

It's amazing how this racket works.

12. Consider Joe the plumber.
That's the type of brain power were dealing with here. Stupid, hateful, bigoted assholes with no common sense. Even when it's in their best interest to support a democrat they refuse.

14. It's not rational. They make him an icon representing all they despise.
Reality has no bearing. They want to hate the black guy. They want to hate the smart guy. They want to hate the educated guy. The GOP is a bunch of thugs, and their thuggery is the one thing that binds them.

15. "Hate" is the oil that keeps the republican party running.
funny thing is, they think God is on their side. they're really very hypocritical.

I remember them calling Hillary a witch before she and Bill ever came to the white house.
For some reason, they have to demonize their opponents. They know no other way to compete.
The good news is, americans have finally woken up and are coming on over to our party.. the party of the big tent.. the party that actually CARES about people.

16. peaches, you are talking about 'degenerates,' who have been
brainwashed and indoctrinated to think AA are 'sub-human,' and thus, because they are 'white' they are the supreme beings on this planet. It's just that simple. These 'people' are just not that complicated.
