4. Palin kept saying people should come out of the closet and stop being
anonymous and put their names to the allegations that she's dumb and didn't know anything about NAFTa and that Africa was a continent.

This blog is supposed to be by a senior McCain advisor..but there is no verification that the person wrote it..per David.

6. It's on MSNBC...let me see it I can find a link to the blog he spoke of...
Here what I found on Eisenstadt:

Bio
Political strategist and conservative analyst Martin Eisenstadt is a senior fellow at the The Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy and Founder and President of the influential Eisenstadt Group. An expert on Near Eastern military and political affairs, Mr. Eisenstadt works alongside Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign, offering advice and liaising with the Jewish community in particular. Prior to that, he consulted on the Rudolph Giuliani campaign, as well as numerous corporate and multinational organizations on issues of security and policy development. Mr. Eisenstadt has been an influential voice in Near Eastern policy debate for over a decade.

The Wall Street Journal has said of Mr. Eisenstadt that he is “one of the foremost commentators on issues of U.S. policy towards the Middle East and is one of the bright lights of the neoconservative movement.” National Journal’s The Hotline referred to Mr. Eisenstadt as “a rising GOP pundit” and “a clear-spoken advocate for Rudy Giuliani.” Most recently, he has been quoted in the Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post and Wonkette.

An award-winning analyst, Mr. Eisenstadt frequently discusses current affairs on television and radio, appearing on such U.S. programs as ABC’s World News, Crossfire, CBS Reports, NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Nightline, The Today Show and the XM POTUS ‘08 radio show. He has appeared on leading television networks around the globe, including the BBC, Al-Jazeera, and the Israeli Broadcasting Authority and has lectured in twenty countries.

He has consulted on Middle Eastern topics for prominent financial, manufacturing, and service companies; law firms, bar associations, trade groups; agencies of the U.S. government; and law courts in the United States and Canada. His writings have been translated into seventeen languages and have appeared in such newspapers as Corriere della Sera, The Daily Telegraph, Le Figaro, De Gentenaar, Al Shabiba, Morgunbladid, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, The Sydney Morning Herald, and Berliner Morgenpost.

Mr. Eisenstadt sits on five editorial boards, has testified before many congressional committees, and worked on five presidential campaigns. Universities in the United States and Belgium have conferred honorary degrees on him.

Mr. Eisenstadt splits his time between homes in the Washington, D.C., area and Southern California.

9. Here is the blog they're talking about and it has more in it:
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 04:51 PM by pdxmom
http://www.eisenstadtgroup.com/

"Could she have passed a multiple choice test about South Africa or NAFTA. Probably. But it was clear that she simply didn’t have the ease of knowledge that we come to expect from a major party political candidate. Other slights came up, too: Not knowing the difference between Hezbollah and Hamas. Or the difference between the Shiites and Suni. Or when it came to international terrorist organizations, knowing that the IRA was in Northern Ireland, and ETA in Spain."

The allegations are true.

14. The allegations were made - the confession was NOT
Yes - it's been reported that anonymous sources inside the campaign said these things. That's not the dispute.

The McCain campaign aide/advisor named Eisenstadt who has come out to confess to being the one responsible for leaking this information does not exist. It is a false confession/claim from someone who IS NOT a campaign insider.

Jeebus - do we need to start a new thread!?!?

15. That does not make any sense. The Newsweek reporters were imbedded for months.
They know who is with the campaign and who is not. Evan Thomas said the leaker was very high up. Evan has credibility.

16. I'm sorry, but it does.
The leak may have been high up, and the allegations true. However this "Martin Eisenstadt" person is NOT. He's an internet hoaxer making a false confession to being the source. He is NOT the source.

20. Huffington Post all over it now
Making it much more clear than I was able to:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/11/10/martin-eisenstadt-non-exi_n_142785.html

I know you understand it now, but I wanted to add this in case anyone else was still confused. I said on another thread that what scares me about these hoaxes is that once the public perceives one part of the story as a lie they're willing to disregard the whole story as untrue. Before you know it they'll be saying that Palin never mistook the continent of Africa for a country - that "it was all a hoax by some guy on the internet".

It kinda made me flash back to what they did with Bush's Texas Air National Guard record. Once they threw in one faked document any criticism of his service was perceived as being part of a hoax, no matter how solid the evidence or credible the source.

23. She's still an idiot
But, we still don't know who inside the McCain campaign decided to share that info. All we know is that it wasn't Martin Eisenstadt.

Huffpo explains it better than me:
