Mormon Church vandalized by anti 8 Radicals - Suspect Identified

http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.asp?S=9323804

Three Mormon churches in Utah were vandalized Sunday, and church members say it is related to the controversy over California's Proposition 8.

Proposition 8 bans same-sex marriage in California. It was passed by 52 percent.

Layton, Utah, authorities say the holes in church windows appear to be from a BB gun. The doors of the churches were also damaged.

Authorities are not saying whether it was related to California's Prop 8 or whether it was random vandalism. Church members, however, believe it is because the church has taken a stand against same-sex marriage.

Protesters have targeted Mormon temples in cities across California and in Utah since the proposition passed. Protesters say they are upset that Mormon church members funded and supported the proposition

And here is an image not of the person who did it but the kind of person who did it.

4. Even if the vandalism was done by anti-8 "radicals"...
...the pro-8 church members will get off on it. Especially since last night (11/09) marked the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht.

These people love the idea of being persecuted and victimized. They live for that shit. They desperately want anti-8'ers to go after them; they're waiting for it.

The "Yes on 8" campaign was framed entirely around the notion that people with "traditional (Christian) values" were being victimized. That's how Prop 8 passed. It was framed as "Yes on 8, because we won't be victimized". They want to be persecuted so badly that they'll use every opportunity possible to see themselves as being targeted. It's pathetic.

The best thing--the absolute best thing--that "No on 8" supporters can do right now is SAY NOTHING and DO NOTHING to the Mormons, with the exception of what the "Invalidate Prop 8" campaign is doing. Going after the Mormons (and other Christians) only makes them dig their heels in deeper; it strengthens them and their campaign.

5. Yes it goes back to "Joseph Smith being a victim" when in fact he was
killed by a mob after he attacked and destroyed the printing press of one of his top assistants that was publishing an expose of, among other things, the sexual exploitation of teenage girls of the Mormons.
