MY SUGGESTED NEW RULE: Please no more thrds on O's citizenship.
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 06:09 PM by ddeclue
We all know he's an American by birth.

We all know that Hawaii has authenticated his birth certificate.

We all know his mother was an American from Kansas.

We all know he was born in Hawaii.

We all know that the courts have thrown the morons behind these nuisance lawsuits out on their ears.

This is just slimy Lee Atwater-esque tactics to try to de-legitimize Obama. It must stop and we need to stop being complicit in asking for "debunks" over such obvious nonsense. Go to Obamas fight the smears website if you need to "debunk" one of these lies but IT'S OVER now and OBAMA WON. Some things are just not debateable - the world is round, the earth goes around the sun, Obama is the President-elect and an American by birth.

PLEASE I BEG OF YOU NO MORE THREADS ON THIS TOPIC...

Thanks,

Doug D.

Edit: I'm a moran... the EARTH goes around the sun ...at least according to Galileo and Ptoelemy.. I'm sick dudes...sorry..

28. The OP didn't spell out "threads" on purpose so it wouldn't count.
;-) I'm just playing with you too. Hope you feel better. I do so agree with your post.

3. It's the Internet
My wish, as a Christian, is that there are no more threads on DU about "God doesn't exist."

But that's not going to happen.

So my suggestion to you is that when you see threads on Obama's citizenship that you don't want to read, don;t read them.

And if it really bothers you, click the little "X" to hide the threads.

And if you're still really bothered by all of the above, read the DU rules and regulations on posting and realize that no one comes here to make you feel comfortable about what you'll be seeing.

Seriously, with all due respect.

It's the INTERNET.

18. You don't have a hamster?
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 07:27 PM by A-Schwarzenegger
Somebody around here had a hamster and kept
giving people good advice that they never took,
himself. It must have been someone else and their
hamster. Or maybe it was a gopher. Carry on.

5. You mean the earth goes around the sun, right?
But funny enough, it is still debated - http://www.geocentricity.com/. Unfortunately this debate can never be won, because your opposition is fucking stupid.
Fundies are good for laughs though.

23. They spent the whole summer on it...
Endless source of amusement following this on FR...

But - I say - drop it...it's too hard to explain to people how they came up with this bullshit without seeing how they managed to layer ignorance and innuendo.

Its fine to let them waste their time...but let's not waste ours...

7. I hope you get kicks until the end of time for this

I cannot understand for the life of me why there are long term DUers who say, "I got this email from a friend" or "I heard someone at the office.." and then post this lie.

It has been widely reported and debunked NUMEROUS times. Why don't they see these posts? And, if they have, what is the utility in continuing to post it?

At this point, now that he has been elected, I think these BC threads deserve first, a warning, and then a pizza!

9. I get annoyed because clearly no DU'er believes this stuff
or thinks it is worthy of commentary. I suspect those who post it of being trolls for the dark side although this is notoriously hard to prove.

12. The RW is not going to stop saying it just because the election
is over. And there are actual dimwits who still believe this. New dimwits come into the voting population all the time. So it doesn't hurt to keep refuting it and to show how stupid the people saying it are.

go within minutes--to page six with barely a whimper.

Nothing could be more frustrating to shit-stirrers than NOT creating a fuss.

It's really only about 15-20 losers who post every right-wing talking point over & over again. The admins have rejected my request to create a special forum for "Free Republic at DU", so my ignore list has gotten very long.

31. These people don't even set boundaries for what is "acceptable"
for him to prove that he's a citizen or not. . IN many cases they DON"T use the same standards when judging other candidates, and have shifting rationales/explanations in the face of new evidence, I really wonder if they even had a hard copy if they wouldn't just claim it was forged. Bottom line is, don't argue with these folks unless they make a falsifiable/testable argument IMO

33. Those threads and posts help identify people who haven't supported Obama.
People who supported and voted for Obama know he's a US citizen.

Those asking for "clarification" of the issue are declaring themselves quite unfamiliar with Obama.
