Has President-Elect Obama PUBLICLY THANKED Howard Dean for his role in winning this election?
I have seen nothing about it in any of the reports I have read; although, to be fair, I have been mostly on DU and Huff Post since the election.

I loved Obama's acceptance speech on Tuesday night. But I was a bit surprised that he did not do a short top-ten list of those who helped him get the result he did--except of course, he did thank the voters.

3. What was Howard Deans role in winning this election?
Just curious. And please dont reply with "the 50 state strategy". That wasnt genius... that was common sense.

5. You're kidding, right? That "common sense" you refer to was resoundingly rejected by the
likes of Rahm Emanuel and Terry McAuliffe, who had they called the shots, would have caused the election to be lost.

Howard Dean was not responsible for the win, but he certainly played a HUGE role in it and deserves to get a public pat on the back.

Frenchie Cat, I think it's great that he thanked him at the convention, but I was hoping for a nod from our President-Elect after this fantastic election result.

4. Obama thanked Howard Dean in his Dem Convention speech......
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 08:48 PM by FrenchieCat
in fact, Dean was the first person that Obama spoke of in that convention speech.

Obama sent out letters fundraising for the DNC,
and thanking them for their hard work.

I don't think that Obama "owes" his success to Howard Dean though.....
and those who do, are underestimating Barack Obama, and
giving more credit than is deserved to Howard Dean.

I realize that folks like Howard Dean a lot, and some even love him,
but I think that this is a bit ridiculous.
