I cried throughout the trailer for "Milk" at the movies today (because of the votes on Prop 8, etc.)

At the movies today, I watched the trailer for the movie "Milk" (starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk). When Harvey Milk makes a speech to the crowd about "all men being created equal" and "you can't take that away from us" (or something like that) ... well, I just found myself crying throughout the trailer because of how the vote went on California's Prop 8, plus the anti-gay measures that passed in Arizona, Arkansas and Florida. I cried for my GLBT brothers and sisters and what they're going through right now.

I just realized how timely this movie is right now.

Harvey Bernard Milk

(everyone go see "Rachel Getting Married," BTW ... fabulous movie!)
