Bush tells Obama and the UAW to pound sand.

A vindictive outgoing president seems to be saying "Well Barack, they bought you with their campaign contributions, so they're your problem now"

Obama asks Bush to provide help for automakers
By Jackie Calmes Published: November 11, 2008

WASHINGTON: The struggling auto industry was thrust into the middle of a political standoff between the White House and Democrats on Monday as President-elect Barack Obama urged President George W. Bush to support immediate emergency aid.

Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia, a measure for which Bush has long fought, people familiar with the discussion said.

The Bush administration, which has presided over a major intervention in the financial industry, has balked at allowing the automakers to tap into the $700 billion bailout fund, despite warnings last week that General Motors might not survive the year.

Obama and congressional Democratic leaders say the administration has all the authority it needs under the bailout law to extend assistance.

Obama went into his post-election meeting with Bush on Monday primed to urge him to support emergency aid to the auto industry, advisers to Obama said. But Democrats also indicate that neither Obama nor congressional leaders are inclined to concede the Colombia pact to Bush, and may decide to wait until Obama assumes power on Jan. 20.

2. So Fuckstick wants to play....
...fuck you. No, fuck you. No, fuck you. Sorry to disappoint you, shitbird, but President-elect Obama doesn't play those games, you fucking asswipe.

Note to Fuckstick, Congress is seated right after the New Year and I think it would take all of about 10 minutes to impeach and remove you and your sorry sack-of-shit of a VP from President-elect Obama's office.

Don't fuck with us, coward.

4. I would LOVE to see that.
Nancy Pelosi as President for a few weeks before Obama is sworn in. The sooner we get rid of * the better -- it seems every day he does something to piss me off!

3. Remember, they only get $350 billion to spend before getting further congressional OK
So, if the Bushies go through the $350 billion, they'll have to come back the the Democratic congress to get more funds. That's when the automakers get in on it.

It's outrageous that $160 billion has already gone to cover AIG's bad debts, and Bush is opposing 20%of that to the auto makers.

He's a real POS.

6. Sounds like Bush wants Congress to push the bailout.
Bush 'would listen' to legislators on automaker bailout

The Bush administration "would listen'' to lawmakers if they decide to try to pass a new aid package for U.S. automakers, spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

"If they decide to try to do something on the auto industry, we would listen to them,'' Perino told reporters at a White House briefing. "Congress will have an opportunity when they return,'' she said. Lawmakers may return for a lame-duck session of Congress next week.

8. The Bush family & friends are making 30%+ return on their money in S. America...
That's the driving force behind all their extortion, bush's dad buying up the largest fresh water aquifer in Paraguay is a further glimpse into how they'll be pinching off resources for profits it's disgusting but there's always a catch with the Bush family, they never play anything straight. Even if they get what they want there are no guarantees with them period

10. If the Big Three can hang on until January, there's no reason for the Dems to cave on Colombia
Because come January 20 we'll have a president who can protect the auto workers without allowing the Colombia deal to go through. G-d, it feels good knowing we're going to have a president who's on our side in the White House soon.
