Valerie Plame Wilson and Joe Wilson should have a place in the new administration.
Joe would be a great as UN Ambassador or SOS. Valerie as inspector general of Homeland Security or head of CIA.

8. I think it's a great idea.
He'd probably be excellent in the role, and what a great way to rub it in the Bushies nose.

10. Too bad. The critique of Barack just went too far---it was senseles, given that
more experienced leaders such as Teddy and JK had endorsed Barack

Having said that, I appreciate everything Joe did for this country, and continue to defend him against the wingnut brigades who continue to slime him.

31. Did Joe recant and support Obama? I don't remember him doing anything after the primaries...
But holy crap, he really didn't like Obama in the primaries.

We'll never have enough jobs.

13. Joe was relentless in his bashing of Obama during the primaries
You could tell he has a severe disdain for Barack. I think this is a non-starter. Obama is a very proud man. I don't think he's in the business of doling out jobs to people who don't like him. If that's the case, then might as well give that Rothschild woman a job.

14. First off, it's amazing how many still haven't moved past the primaries. As some of you said to us
Hillary supporters months ago, "Get over it!" Ultimately it's up to President-elect Obama to decide who he wants to hire but I somehow doubt he's as petty and vindictive as some people here. God, if he can put differences aside with Lieberman (as another thread claims) he is a very forgiving person.

29. I noticed this too
If you were a Hillary supporter, then you have to move on from the primaries. If you were a Obama supporter, then you are allowed to hold a grudge against anyone that criticized Obama in any way. What did Joe Wilson even say during the primaries? I don't remember him even being in the news during that time.

I believe Obama will pick the person he thinks is the best candidate for the position. He ran an almost perfect campaign and he clearly knows what he is doing.

20. why should they? Wilson doesn't have a terribly distinguished career
and Valerie was mid-level at the CIA. Yes, they stood up for what was right under bush, but that's hardly a reason for them to be placed in high level positions in the Obama administration. In any case, it's up to Obama.

21. Appointing people of questionable expertise...
to high-level positions in government just to piss off the other side is no way to run a country-- as has been amply proven over the course of the last eight years.

26. It'd be nice to set the record straight on the case
Does the White House issue things like the 'Sense of the Senate' type statements?

Sort of 'For the record: Scooter Libby, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney conspired to discredit Ambassador Wilson and his wife Valerie Plame Wilson, with reckless disregard for Ms Plame Wilson's covert status. This action was undertaken with the knowledge and approval of George W. Bush, and caused the exposure and compromise of at least one major non-proliferation intelligence operation.'

Short n sweet.

But no, Joe Wilson pretty much lit his underwear on fire and wrapped it around his head and called himself King Crazypoop during the primaries, so probably an Obama administration job is a non-starter. I don't doubt that he was partially motivated by a belief that, of all the candidates, Sen Clinton (with former Pres Clinton) would be the one to dole out the payback the Bush admin richly deserved. But for now, the Wilson's probably just have to keep working on re-installing all those kitchen sinks he tore out to throw at Obama.
