WSJ Questions McCain's Honor:
<snip>

"It wasn't Mrs. Palin who dramatically flew to Washington promising a legislative answer to the most important economic issue of our day -- and then, in the words of a New York Times campaign profile, "came off more like a stymied bystander than a leader who could make a difference."

And what does it say when the campaign team of a man who has spent decades in the U.S. Senate cannot agree on (much less present) a coherent answer to why he should be elected president of the United States -- except that he's not Barack Obama?

In Mr. McCain's moving concession speech, he wished "godspeed to the man who was my former opponent and will be my president." He asked his fellow Americans to join him in helping President-elect Obama bridge our differences and build a better, more hopeful nation.

It will be instructive to see whether Mr. McCain will now extend the same level of graciousness to Mrs. Palin that he has to Mr. Obama, by giving a public slapdown to the very public smears emanating from his own campaign team. We have no idea what Mr. McCain will do when he sits down with Mr. Leno tonight.

But there's no doubt what a man of honor would do...."

8. The media (especially the corp control media) LOVES a
"comeback" story. Don't be surprised if there are a number of stories in the next weeks and months about how "unfair" the liberal media was with Palin, how she really DID know the answers to the questions but was "taken out of context" or some such bullshit.

Unfortunately, other than a few "truth" journalists, no one will simply stand up and say "not only is Sarah Palin ignorant, but clearly she is unintelligent as well". They use our political correctness of never saying bad things about someone against us.

Palin clearly attracted the ugly base of the rethuglicans to rallies, many of them looked almost like Klan rallies. But for them to rebuild their party, they may well choose to use this. If their are really HARD times ahead, these rallies could get bigger and uglier.

but bush talked about a very centrist agenda at first, had some folks fooled even, before switching over to a radical right wing agenda

i think the days when a radical fundie agenda has sufficiently wide appeal to get a candidate elected are over

12. I found Palin amazingly out of her depth but the WSJ and others have a point
McCain and his camp up until the day before the election continued to tell the public that Palin was vetted and that she was up to the job of being president.

If the losers are now going to start throwing out dirt that makes the accusation that Palin was an incompetent and corrupt person I think Palin has the right to know who those sources are and the public should to so their credibility can be suject to review.
