To answer the questions on the campaign trail if Palin's kids were in school.... |
|
The little one...Piper...was asked by Matt Lauer...did you miss a lot of school?
Piper: Yeah...ALOT of school.
Lauer: Is it hard to make it all up?
Piper: YEAH...REALLY hard...
Then when brought up to Sarah in the kitchen being all mom-like...she said "but think of everything that they had the opportunity to learn that most kids dont..."
Ah yes...COUNTRY first...not FAMILY first!!!

2. Being well-learned is not at the top of Sarah's priority list - |
|
when it was announced Bristol would marry her baby daddy, we were also told the young man would not finish high school but get a job on the oil rigs to support his new family.
Idiots.

4. Piper also didn't enjoy being paraded around to the various campaign rallies |
|
LAUER: What was the hard part?
P. PALIN: All the rallies.
LAUER: Yes? Going there every time and...
P. PALIN: Yes
LAUER: ... listening to the speeches and things like that?
P. PALIN: Yes.
LAUER: Did you -- when you were traveling, did you miss your friends back home?
P. PALIN: Yes.
LAUER: That’s a hard part, isn’t it?
P. PALIN: Yes.

6. Didn't SP say that her parents were making sure the schoolwork was |
|
sent from Alaska? Isn't her father a teacher? Why didn't he jump in and do the "schooling" ...

17. Yup...in an interview with People Magazine: |
|
People: With the kids traveling, how do they keep up with school? SP: They've been going back and forth and bringing schoolwork with them. Yeah. It's workin'. With our help and Grandma's and Grandpa's help. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20235099_1,00.html

7. Again, I can't fault her for giving her kids a once in a lifetime opportunity |
|
They can make up school anytime but they can't see the inside of a presidential campaign anytime. But it also depends on the age. Piper is 17 and certainly old enough to appreciate it, but the younger kids probably aren't and should have just been in school.

9. I traveled with my parents through Europe and did school work |
|
on the road. My father had conferences in a lot of countries, we did school work in the car on the road fortunately both my parents had been teachers at one time. They got the curriculum from the school and assignments for me and my two older brothers. When I got back to school, I was even ahead of my class on assignments and also my reading and writing had improved.
Its a lame excuse, my journey was also a once in a lifetime chance too. I've taught kids that traveled and had once in a lifetime chance.

11. When the question was posed IF they were being schooled...I think it was fair to assume |
|
that they had (at least) tutors on the road with them. So its ok to spend $150k on clothes, but not to provide education for 3+ months? That's just irresponsible...

12. Piper is the youngest girl |
|
Bristol is the oldest, the pregnant one. I never saw the inside of the presidential campaign and I turned out quite well educated. Of course, I didn't miss months of regular school just to be a prop for my mom.

She definitely couldn't appreciate it. This is the person who is being quoted now. She missed a lot of crucial info at school I am sure. If she is catching up now instead of being tutored all along ,as I assumed, then it will be especially hard for her poor girl.

16. Ok, not that the state of AK would enforce this but is there not a certain number of days |
|
that kids HAVE to be in school?? At the very least, school districts have absentee limits. WHY not leave her husband home with the kids so they could still go to school? If they are homeschooled, they should have had home school supplies along with them as they traveled. Hell, Bristol didn't apparently travel with them after a while, leave the younger kids with HER so they could still go to school and let them meet up with the parents on the weekends somewhere. Leave them with Palin's parents..ANYthing but pull them away from their school work for 4 months.
Both the parents wanted to ride the gravy train for a while even if it was at the expense of their kids.
Remember back when Palin was first announced, she herself publically said that neither parent even TOLD the kids about her being picked for the VP mate spot..they led the kids to believe it was all a family trip to MN. Said that they didn't want the kids telling people that Palin was picked for the VP spot so they didn't tell the kids...HELLO?? Take their frigging cell phones and computers AWAY..tell the OLDER kids "you tell NO ONE". Instead, they don't tell their brood, and then within minutes of finally being told, the kids get to be pranced out onto the stage at Mclame's "VP announcement rally". Including Bristol who has to use Trig as a prop to hide her stomach. Real class there, Palin parents!

18. The kids could have home schooled or unschooled, it would have been a great opportunity |
|
they could have learned what the VP actually does every day, how to put the constitution back together, & geography lessons beyond foreign policy with Russia.
No, really home schooled kids are very bright they could have made the best of it.
