5. Because she remains an object of curiousity and she's milking it.
No one -- really virtually no one -- knew diddly squat about her 60 days ago. And as they did get to know her, she turned out to be pretty interesting, in a train wreck sort of way. Between the Gibson and Couric interviews, the Tina Fey lampooning, wardrobe-gate, her over-the-top speeches, the post-election in-fighting and stories of meetings in towels, etc etc -- well, of course the media is going to keep covering her. And since having her stay on the scene is a great thing for Democrats, both because she is the new Newt and because she divides the repubs -- I'm all for it.

20. More likely she will be campaigning against
Lisa Murkowski in 2010. I'm still holding out hope that Mark Begich garners the majority of the 90,000 uncounted ballots.

What is the real reason for posting here about her?

Yes, she is fascinating in a car wreck rubbbernecking way. I think we need to discuss her less and see if it will die down in the near future. When's that Governors thing-a-mabob meeting? She'll get more mileage after that, and then I think it will fade.

23. Her handlers have really cleaned her up, less gaffes and seeming
somewhat reasonable if you don't listen too closely.

HOWEVER, she is still surrounded by incompetent advisers! Why on earth would they try to re-introduce her so soon after the election?
