Putting lipstick on a Palin... |
|
I've been listening to talking head after talking head and GOP operatives hash over the rehabilitation of Sarah Palin to make her a suitable candidate for president in four years time. I'm totally in awe of the collective stupidity that is the media and the whatever wing of the GOP. The idea that giving her a couple of years to learn some history and to soften her rhetoric is at best cynical. These people truly do not understand why they lost this election.
As a matter of fact, I'm hoping the Lipstick Republicans charge ahead and win out. People will recognize those tired old greedy robber barons behind her, no matter which shade of lipstick they buy for her.

1. In a few months she'll 'rear her head' as a kinder, gentler pit bull with lipstick, |

who can find a few more countries on a map and who no longer calls 15% of America the only 'real America.' Some voters will buy what she's selling, a few of them enthusiastically. But I don't believe even Sarah has the talent to fool enough of the people enough of the time. It's not that easy to completely remake yourself into a viable, palatable Presidential candidate if you've proven over and over that you are unqualified and just plain nasty. And she won't be cut any slack because every gaffe will be magnified and everything she wears will be scrutinized.
