"...it's worse than disgraceful. It's reprehensible."
"I'd never seen anything like that ad. Putting pictures of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden next to the picture of a man who left three limbs on the battlefield -- it's worse than disgraceful. It's reprehensible." - August 29th, 2004

Who said the above quote, you ask?

Well, it was our good friend, John McCain.

Now, guess who's making plans to help Saxby keep his Senate seat.

I guess he was still the 'old John McCain' back in 2004.

Found story at politicalwire.com, http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0408/29/le.00.html.

1. I used to think McCain was honorable.
Edited on Tue Nov-11-08 01:46 PM by SoonerPride
I now know that his behavior over the last year revealed the true and hidden reality of his character. The exposé in Rolling Stone was an eye-opener.

This is the real John McCain.

He has no honor.

He is scum.

3. Anyone else think that quote would make a good commercial?

Just have to wait for McCain to start campaigning here in Georgia, then go after them with the quote.

Max Cleland is still very much liked in Georgia.

7. he "discovered" honor and reform to save his hide after the keating 5 thing
he needed to reinvent himself in order to salvage his political career.
so he became "honorable" and a "reformer" in order to insulate himself against the truthful accusations that he was dishonorable and exactly the sort of politician we needed to reform.
