When Does GD: Presidential Close?
The Campaigns are over. As President-Elect Obama, what he and his aide do and say are no longer for a campaign, but as a head of state. He is crafting policy and reacting to world events. Isn't it time to get back to GD: Politics?

And, all the "palin posts" can go to General Discussion, because she has nothing to do with Politics or the President.

1. Palin posts should be relegated to the Lounge.
Then drowned in the jacuzzi.

3. I know that DU is just about due for a major renovation.
Perhaps it will coincide?

5. I don't know what all we're getting, but I'm sure Skinner et al. are working hard on it.
As for the actions of people's religions? It's difficult, because membership in a religion feels like an endorsement of all its actions in a way that membership in, say, a political party or social club does not. At the same time, religion does have cultural meaning that cannot be simply ignored.
