1. Who are a list of people I don't care in the slightest about? I'll take "Inane esoterica for $400."

4. I'm having a little trouble coming up with that myself.

is the point that if we eliminate him, these staffers will be unemployed?

15. So...you're proposing blacklisting staffers of Senators you don't like?
Wow, that's dumb.

No, hold on. That wasn't quite fair.

Wow, you're dumb.

19. Bullshit dude.
Believe it or not, not everyone in politics is rich. We've got bills to pay too, dickhead, and can't always be that choosey about our bosses.

5. These are the people that are on Lieberman's staff what more do you need to figure out?
What could also be done is investigate to determine their previous history. Whether they worked for other Republicans. Especially since some unnamed Lieberman aide has been speaking on his behalf concerning his potential ouster.

I seriously doubt that any Democrat would be fully supporting Lieberman with his attack on the Democratic nominee for President prior to the election.

8. Most of them are lifelong Democrats
Marshall Wittman (a registered independent) is the exception.

A lot of these people have been with Lieberman for many, many years. Your assumption is flat-out wrong.

13. I know Joe and Hadassah
I have met several people on this list. Sherri Brown has been with Lieberman since he entered the Senate, and possibly earlier. Clarine Riddle is a long time Dem staffer on the Hill. I recognize some of the other names from his presidential run.

20. So you like the idea of a blacklist, eh?
Guzzle that hatred down. Goes down soooooooo smooooooth and makes you feel soooooo strong.

Just don't think real hard about what you look and smell like after you've done it awhile.

6. What's your point?
I know a few of these people. They're unassuming staffers who mind their own business and try and do their job as best they can.

It seems like you are hinting that people should harass them. If that's your point, knock it off.

18. In fairness...
Some of these look like partial salaries, i.e., people who came on board in October or who left in March. The long-time Lieberman aides have salaries that are pretty average for their positions.

21. Junior staffers don't get paid a whole lot in most Hill offices
Each office has a limited budget, so if they were to pay higher salaries, it would fewer staffers and poorer constitute services.

Is this what we've come to?

jeez....

PS - I've worked with Hill staffers for more than 20 years. One of the staffers I worked with, now deceased, worked for Orrin Hatch. He was one of the most decent, respected persons I've ever met. To this day, I often ask myself how he would handle a situation. And, conversely, I've worked with some Democratic staffers who were obnoxious, self-centered and not at all interested in promoting anything but themselves. Whether you are or are not a decent person isn't necessarily determined by who you work for but how you conduct yourself.
