Why Can't Obama Seal the Deal?
Edited on Tue Nov-11-08 08:08 PM by nyccitizen
It's been over a week since the election but the electors still haven't certified his victory. Obama supporters must ask themselves: with a war chest of over 600 million, an army of GOTV volunteers, TV ads that ran 4-to-1 against his opponents in some states, and an overwhelming victory in the popular vote and the electoral college, why isn't Barack Obama the president yet? Why can't he seal the deal?

On edit:

Sorry, didn't think was necessary, but... /sarcasm.

2. Why hasn't he ended the war
or solved the housing crisis? Why is Bush still in office? Why do we have to wait until 1/20/09?

I want my pony now!

11. Uh, yes...

Some fun at the expense of all the people who said he couldn't "Seal the Deal" even when he had mathematically sealed the nomination and then later when he had a commanding lead in the polls.

6. Is it? Is it because of the requirements "mandated by the Constitution"? Or is it because...

13. NYC Citizen, sorry your fellow DUers (at least the ones posting here) have no sense of humor.
I get your joke-- it's a reference to the Clinton campaign wondering why Obama can't "seal the deal" with working whites, and later on why the media kept wondering why Obama wasn't higher in the polls during the summer.

Don't fret. I get it.

17. You know...
watching all this breaks my heart. Everyone is turning to Obama for help, because the GOP have been deaf, dumb and blind for 8 years. I hope our new President knows what he's gotten himself into. I think he does, and is relishing it.
