Okay, Time For Me To Turn Off The TV News For Good
CNN is now going on and on about the 2012 election.

This is fucking sick. I give up. It's History Channel in the mornings for me from now on.

1. The media would love a continuous election cycle
We and moreover the average US citizen would be totally burned out and disenfranchised from the process. That would make the reich wing very happy however.

2. Exactly!!!
We JUST got done with a nearly 2-year election cycle and the corporate "whore" media is now endlessly speculating on the 2012 Presidential race (and Palin's prospects in particular) despite the fact that Obama has even yet to be inaugurated! The 2012 election IMHO is not even a germane topic for discussion until at least 2010-2011. Did the corporate media whores start talking about 2008 as soon as Bush was re-(s)elected in 2004? I sure don't remember them acting this way in regards to Bush 2004 even though Bush was in a far weaker position in regards to his re-election than Clinton was in 1996 and was in an even weaker position than Obama when he was (s)elected the first time back in 2000. All I remember in 2004 was endless discussion about Bush's 2% "mandate" and his "political capital" but this year with Obama, who won by a 6-7% margin (PV) and a near 400 EV margin, all the corporate whores seem to be able to talk about right now is 2012 and the Republican Party's prospects for winning back the WH, as well as Palin's "prospects" for running and winning in 2012. It's almost as though Obama's win is being seen by them as some kind of horrible "aberration" that needs to be remedied by the Republican Party (who to them I guess are now always the "rightful occupants" of the WH) The only other conclusion that I can reach is that their "masturbation reel" must be getting low now that Palin is no longer on the campaign trail (although she is still surely not lacking for coverage).

3. They forgot how to report the news.. they're just covering anything they can
before the Inauguration and in and around waiting for Obama to make another anouncement that they can chew over for 2 or 3 days.. I can tell you, there is plenty "news" out there.. they're just lazy.

4. Bah, they're behind the curve. 2016's where it's at.
Obama has 2012 wrapped up. We need to start finding candidates for 2016, NOW!
