With Video --- Leno inquires about how the losing nominee is: John McCain: 'Sleeping like a baby'

John McCain, who made his first appearance on TV since losing the presidential election to Sen. Barack Obama, stepped into a comic's role last night.

"I've been sleeping like a baby,'' McCain told The Tonight Show's Jay Leno last night - "Sleep two hours, wake up and cry, sleep two hours, wake up and cry.''

1. I'd be more interested in knowing how Cindy-poo is reacting.....
reaching for the pill bottle yet, bemoaning the fact that she won't be floating around the White House as First Lady.....

2. The fact McSHAME can sleep at all is a miracle!
If he had any conscience he'd be up all night.

6. He's so cute! He said,'I've been sleeping like a baby - sleep 2 hours, wake up & cry; sleep 2 hours
wake up and cry."

Yeah, it's just one big fat politicking "game" to them. And, when the election is over, it's back to life as usual - "Oh, that was just politics. It's always been done like this. Look at history."

I posted elsewhere: WHY is this an acceptable attitude????

5. i see a man who's relieved he can stop being Commander Douchebag

For a guy who has been the Daily Show's most frequent guest and for a republican once known as the most harsh critic of the religious-right, the corruption and the divisive campaigns... to have done what he's done in the last year... must have been stressful.

I see a guy here who's relieved that fiasco is over.

It remains my belief that on some level he effectively "gave up" back in August when he was forced to run a campaign and a VP he didn't want. He wanted Lieberman and a centrist bi-partisan campaign. He was forced to compromise his own identity, his own values, his own image... his honor...

I think this man HATES Sarah Palin (i dont think he respects women in general).

He played his role. He's relieved it's over.

He thinks he can regain his dignity by going back to Congress, supporting Obama and being the old bi-partisan "gang of 14" maverick.

Grrrr.
