Palin "comfortable" with Obama...but ONLY IF he surrounds himself with advisers who understand TERRA

WASHINGTON — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has given President-elect Barack Obama a conditional vote of confidence on handling the war in Iraq.

Palin, who has been granting a series of interviews this week, said she would feel comfortable with the Illinois Democrat as commander in chief so long as he surrounds himself with advisers who understand threats against the United States.

In an interview broadcast Wednesday on NBC's "Today" show, Palin was asked whether she felt secure with the notion of Obama being in charge of national security.

She replied: "I'm comfortable with Barack Obama as our commander in chief, assuming that he has those around him who recognize .... that terrorists have not changed their minds ... Those who recognize what the threat is and how to deal with the threat."

Palin's oldest son, Track, is serving in Iraq.

4. Who wants to listen to her endless prattle
as if she knows WTF she's talking about (and as if anyone can understand her mindless ramblings).
I can't imagine she will bring them "good ratings".

25. You're right, of course
That we find it unfathomable that anyone would find her fascinating does not mean the dead-enders aren't out there.

11. I like the way you think, LynneSin
but for me it means permanently turning off the infotainment news/talk shows while she makes the rounds. Not necessarily a bad thing, I guess. :)

7. My guess is she is soliciting the attention -
she wants more of what she had as VP candidate, and I think she wants to become a real GOP political figure to eventually run for office again.
McCain stated on Leno that she was an asset, a good choice for VP.
The building of the myth - you didn't really see what you saw, it was the media who trapped poor Sarah.

Say, what was it that you said about Obama and being excited about the possibility of him turning Alaska "purple"- BEFORE McCain nominated you for VP?

I don't care if Palin talks about Jesus, snowmobiles, and her family. I'm also OK if she talks about her time on the campaign and complains about it (after all, that's a complaint about her treatment by the GOP). But she is not qualified to give any advice to the President-elect about his upcoming task that does not concern Alaska. She has nothing to say, everyone knows it, a big chunk of the election was about her having nothing to say. She can now start saying it in private.

24. Two things to Sarah Palin.
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 12:08 PM by SurferBoy
First, if Obama was President for the last 8 years, we wouldn't have spent trillions and lost 4,000+ soldiers in Iraq.

Second, I'd be willing to bet everything I and all my family own that Obama understands a great deal more about Iraq, Afghanistan, and the "War on Turorists" than Sarah Palin and Dubya combined.

By the way, Sarah, don't you have some clothes to give back and a granddaughter to prepare for?
