Was the McCain camp blaming Sarah all a deliberate "con" in order to keep her in the camera eye
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 09:51 AM by Mike Daniels
Think about it....

Usually, there may be a day or so of "what happened?" coverage with the losing team and "what's next on your plate" and then life goes on and coverage shifts to the winning team.

However, in this case, a bunch of still-identified sources start blaming Palin in mass for losing the election and start throwing out a bunch of charges.

The media, ever looking for a story, starts swarming around Palin in order to get her response to the charges. While this is going on different charges start to come out and the media then starts asking Palin for her response to those charges.

The net effect is to keep the camera focused on Palin. As she gets to give her side of the story she is able to promote herself on camera in a way she never would have been able to during the campaign w/out having to answer questions that she's not prepared for.

Just something to ponder during your slow moments.

1. I think she's like a Britney - remember when Britney was drunk and talking shit
Remember how the media was all over the place trying to get pictures of her, interview her, and ridicule her for ratings? That's basically it.

The McCain camp wants to divorce itself from that slithering ignoramus.

3. McCain defended her left and right on the Tonight Show.
If McCain was physically able to run again in 2012 I think he'd pick Palin as his VP all over.

5. what would you expect him to do? trash her?
That would make him look (a) petty, as if he was trying to shift the blame for his defeat to her and (b) stupid, since ultimately he's the one that picked her for the ticket

6. You serious? The entire McCain camp hates her guts...
I think he just doesn't want to come across like he made a huge mistake, don't you?

4. sure, because making her out to be an even bigger idiot helps her
her appearances on these shows aren't changing anyone's mind about her. Those who like her, will like her. And those who don't, won't.
