Someone stole my Obama sign last night! |
|
Left the Mark Warner sign alone, but took the Obama sign (actually, they left the metal frame and just took the sign).
I'm guessing that someone thinks Obama signs are now collector's items and that they can sell it on ebay. I doubt it was a disgruntled McCain supporter, since no one touched my sign for the several weeks it was posted (and at least a half dozen neighbors on my street had Obama signs that were never bothered).
Anyone else running into this post-election larceny?

6. I guess one disgruntled Republican asshole stole your sign |
|
You know, my sister told me that Republicans are asking "everyone" (I guess that means Dems too?) to remove election signs. I don't feel like it tho, so mine comes out during the day and back in at nite. As if he were already running only this time I'm rejoicing his win! :-)

7. I've seen signs removed with the wire left in the ground here |
|
I deduced it was a walker or jogger who wanted to fold up the cardboard and continue on. The wire would be too hard to carry unnoticed.
Just someone nearby who lost, and can't get over it. Console yourself in rightous and overwhelming victory.

9. Awwwwwww. My hubby and I traveled US-13 yesterday to Salisbury, Md |
|
and were soooooooo giddy at seeing so many more Obama/Warner signs than McSame/Failin - it was a beautiful site to behold!!
We also saw the occasional lone Warner signs and wondered if the O signs were grabbed for souvenirs - funny the thoughts you have while driving through towns, eh?
I'd get myself a replacement sign and put it away in your Obama memorabilia collection or better yet, buy 2 signs, save one and put the other back out on the lawn (near your front door perhaps) or in a window.
You should find lots of goodies on sale now that the election is over.

10. I actually have a mint condition sign in my trunk -- last one I had after distributing them |
|
I bought a couple of hundred dollars worth and offered them for free to my neighbors. I had one left that I was going to try to get Jim Webb (he lives on my street) to put up, but before I could ask him, he got one on his own (it was two days before the election, but better late than never).
