Gov. Pawlenty says "something is amiss" in Senate race
http://www.governor.state.mn.us/contacts/index.htm

Gov. Tim Pawlenty was just on Faux sucking up on Hannity, saying "something is amiss" in the Senate recount because Frankin is gaining votes. He accused Secretary of State Mark Ritchie of being partisen and a <gasp!> "liberal" (implying we cannot trust the recount). It was terribly inappropriate.
Minnesota has a record of the cleanest election process in the nation, and Ritchie has a good record as SOS. The Gov. needs to be told to keep his suck up brown nose out of the process until it is completed.

3. 58 and 59 are a real possiblity.
That would be nice. It would be very difficult for the Republican dead-enders to maintain a fillibuster.

2. Been waiting for this
A pubbie complaining about how elections are won by fraud. The higher ups will tell him to shut up.

Next they'll be claiming Obama stole the election... he could have, ya know?

6. I was flipping channels and heard Fred "old, poor people made me wait in line" Barnes
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 09:59 PM by kenny blankenship
on FOX, saying that Minnesota was going to be stolen by the Democrats.

Meaning, I guess that he's heard the projections that Franken will win when all the ballots are examined for undercounted Senate race votes.

4. Tim's going for 2012
He wants to battle Palin...he really thought McCain was going to pick him, and now he has a score to settle.

What a jerk.

Mark Ritchie was just on Rachel Maddow's show, but I was interrupted and missed most of it...

5. Heard on TV that the Repub has 125 lawyers to oversee the manual recount.
The Repubs are really going after this one. They are going to do everything possible to hang onto this "win." Everything. I guess because they have a technical win to begin with, and they want to prevent a 60-senate seat win by the Dems.

The commentator did NOT say if Franken had anyone from the Dem. Party to work on his behalf in the recount.

7. Timmie knows that Normie is going down and he wants to cloud the water
for Franken as much as he possibly can. That is what passes for leadership in the putrid backwash that is known as the Minnesota GOP.

8. These Republicans are unbelievable.
It's not like Norm hasn't gotten votes of his own. He's just gotten fewer votes than Franken. But they insist on leaving the impression that only Franken has gotten any votes.

And honestly, this first count is going to be meaningless. It's the recount that matters, and he can even have lawyers challenge THAT!

But this is the Republican way in any close election. Smear the process. And Pawlenty is right on board. He should be ashamed.

10. And Timmy the Tool was on the local news tonight saying
there is nothing wrong with what Republicans believe in - they just need to package it differently so the it gets through to what Timmy called "Sam's Club Voters".

Remember, in 2002 Tim wanted to run for the seat Coleman has now, but Bush and Cheney ordered him to step aside so their stooge Normie could run for it.

Timmy also needs to have it explained to him that the recount hasn't started yet. What has been going on is the audit that happens after every election and vote totals always fluctuate. That is why the election night totals are "unofficial". It's interesting how frightened the Republicans are of this recount. It leads me to wonder if they have reason to believe something was wrong with the original tally.
