And I partially blame the GOP for all this fear-mongoring. See more in my blog entry.

11. Still happy!
Early in 2001, I began growing a beard. It wasn't all that attractive; quite the contrary! Every time I looked in the mirror, I'd think BUSH! (blecchhhh!) Well, just few hours go, I cut the down thing off! One BUSH gone, and the other will depart on Jan. 20th next year!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

I look forward to seeing how blaming AAs are going to transform that bogus CNN's results from 70.30 to a better ratio.

I know that the media won't shut up about Sarah Palin, but I wish that there weren't so many people on the board willing to discuss her endlessly. Even threads about the number of Palin threads.

I voted relieved. I'll never really be happy again I think, us being pretty much doomed and all, but I feel great about the US election! I'm PROUD, something I rarely feel for my species.

38. Happy but my tolerance for Republiscum continues to wane.
They still will not even remotely take responsibility for damn near destroying the country, are still finding new ways to be stupid, fighting tooth and nail for schemes to rip off working Americans, pointing fingers, and are of course still lying their asses off.

Find the ones that can be reasoned with (if any) and politically whack the rest.

40. I... don't know.
I find I'm not excited or happy. I didn't even cry on election night. The win was not close, but until Pennsylvania and Ohio came in, there was no point at which it did not feel close, and I tried to prepare myself mentally for a bad outcome.

I don't feel relieved per se, I feel sort of jarred and bewildered, like surviving a near-accident in traffic; it's as if this win was the necessary condition for normal life and the process of definition to continue at all, and that anything else would be unthinkable. I also feel somewhat dazed, in a way that I can only compare to leaving a final exam in school. Was that it? That thing I had built up in my mind for months, and it's over? Just like that?

I do feel better, though. A certain amount of the... dread, I guess, that I was carrying around every day is gone. It's as if I had gotten so used to feeling depressed in a vague, miasmic way that I hadn't noticed it. I'm jealous of the people who feel ecstatic instead of just less bad.

42. I didn't see DU last week, honest
I was traveling and using a borrowed laptop so I did not look at DU. I cannot imagine what I missed.
Now that I am home, I am flat out exhausted and know once I realize the importance of last Tuesday, I am going cry...
Last Tuesday was also a loved one's b-day that I missed so it's doubly exhausting to make it up to that person.
