After her 4 Question 'Press Conference' Do You See Palin As 2012 Presidential Material?
There is a familiarity between Palin and Bush ... both butcher the English Language, both know little about history and geography, both are intellectually incurious, both speak and communicate little but confuse profusely.

Republicans who want to rebuild the Republican Party need to run... not walk ... away from Sarah Palin!

Maybe that is why her 'Press Conference' was 4 questions long ... before she was usher off the stage.

1. That gal
is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too self-absorbed to make it on the national scene....despite her "we" talk. The party will eventually shun her...then she'll turn on them.

She stays in Alaska.

5. After what has transpired on the VP Campaign Trail, Palin has some 'splaining to do' back home in AK
I think there are enough Alaskans looking into her nefarious dealings in Alaska that the worst has not yet been made public.

And as a bonus.... some of Palin's fellow Repubs are busy burying her political future.

makes even George W. Bush sound rational and reasonable. No small feat, that.

3. she's an embarrassment - why do the Reps allow her to talk anywhere?
Edited on Thu Nov-13-08 10:14 AM by tigereye
she basically destroyed any chance McCain had to win. (well other than possibly his age and desire to be in Iraq for 100 years...)

My buddy who's a Reaganite said that she couldn't even stand to watch her.

And she still thinks people might want to vote for her!

4. Her conference was so short and filled with "we" because
her advance team (the PR group she employs) found out that the other republicans in attendance at the conference, you know those other politicians with egos and ideas, didn't like it that she was making it about her, that the press was focused on her.

How I love it, she offends the powerful that she will need if she wants to be asked to be a "leader" and on a national stage.

Bull in a china shop comes to mind with Sista Sarah. :)

Way out of her league.

I am not seeing Huckabee and Romney et al stepping aside in a genteel pivot to permit a dessert cart like Sarah Palin to ascend to the Republican nomination.

Thank you for giving your son such a wonderful milestone memory. When he is 60 and 70 and 80 he will recall what it meant for his parents to have lived in this democracy. What a splendid present you gave to him!

he was off school that day - so he helped too!

I really think folks under 30 or 40, don't know what the fuss is all about - and that's a good thing. To them this doesn't seem to be a milestone at all - simply that the new President looks like the rest of America. And that's pretty cool, too!

Just wonderful.

Every time Palin speaks you see two things on display ... unbridled ambition and unfathomable ignorance.

The GOP Top Dogs must be hung up on just how they are going to end this.

12. I Still Say She Is The Best Thing To Happen To Democrats In A Long Time,..
People vote for candidates based on ideological reasons most of the time.

However, when an obviously unprepared candidate seeks to hold office only one heartbeat away from the Presidency, you can bet that on the mind of many Repubs who pulled the lever for Obama.

And yes there were plenty of Repubs who voted for Obama/Biden to avoid the Palin disaster....

You know that Romney is already further digging into every corner of her background. I just don't see Romney laying down for the "savior" of the Republican party, much less one who's a total idiot.

31. Palin is like Bush in many ways. According to the October Rolling Stone article, so is McCain, but
in other ways. Together, they were all the bad qualities of Bush, plus each of them contributed his or her own unique bad qualities. I am glad that, this time, the country turned away from the frat boy/prom queen and to the adults. I would like to think America has learned its lesson, but I think it's only temporary. It will again one day choose the one it would prefer to have a beer--and burp--with over the smartest people in the room. But, thank God, not this time.

35. I'm a little cynical, but after shrub, I am convinced they can put ANYONE up there in the oval offic
...office. She's no smarter than shrub. She just didn't have the protection from the media that shrub had. Hence, the faux pas. The powers that be have all the pieces in place to do whatever the hell they want. If they want Palin in 2012, then I guarantee you that the media will be in overdrive convincing everyone what a brilliant politician she is...and next thing you know polls are going to come out and say it is a VERY close race, etc. and then they will do their black box magic. Presto! President Palin.

But do I think that will happen? No. They are leaving the country in such a fractured state that it will take atleast 2 or 3 terms to get this country off the economic ventilator. I think my president will have job security for hte next 8 yrs. I'm not in the least bit worried.
