Sarah Palin = Kato Kaelin
Seriously - the attention she is getting now totally reminds me of the Kato Kaelin love-fest the media had during the OJ trial.

What you have is:
- a peripheral person of questionable abilities thrown into a situation completely above their head
- an attention seeker who has no idea that they actually look foolish
- an irrelevant character who tries to perpetuate their media appeal (remember, Kaelin actually did a speaking tour)
- a gift that keeps on giving to tv comedians. :)

I'm sure there's more...

Hopefully, her time in the limelight will be similarly short-lived.

4. Thanks!
I get the same disbelief at the ridiculousness every time I hear SP talk on my tv that I got with KK.

8. The phrase LOL is overused, but this one TRULY made me laugh out loud and
nearly snort coffee thru my nose.

If I may add add one item to your list: bad highlights and an unfortunate choice of hairdo.

So can I hope to see her on an episode of "The Girls Next Door" or "Celebrity Rehab" once the mainstream media has tired of her?

14. A reality show with the whole family!
Like the Osbournes, only weirder and more pathetic.

- Todd stringing whole sentences together
- hijinks with Bristol and the redneck son-in-law
- prop baby!
- cookin' in the family kitchen with Matt Lauer (oh wait...)

Where he interviews flash-in-the pan new buzzes in the Media. Fittingly enough he said he wants Joe The Plumber on the show. Maybe Sarah can join them as well....

21. the old SNL "The Houseguest Who Wouldn't Leave" bit . . .
if I recall correctly, said houseguest was none other than the inimitable John Belushi . . . now who wouldn't want him as a permanent fixture in their home? . . .

22. Add to that Kato was a very curious character who many wondered about relevance.
Palin like Kato did not exactly help her mentor John McCain.

24. She believes that she is the future of the party.
She probably has people telling her that as well. I'm sure part of this recent media blitz is to repair her decimated image from the campaign - but whoever is advising her on how to answer questions is doing as atrocious a job as McCain's advisers did during his campaign. Her answers are unusually scattered with respect to substance - "I'm proud of Obama", "I still want to know about that Ayers fellow", "I'd like to help Obama" (why would anyone want to help a guy who pals around with terrorists?), and she's still going on about those clothes. Not to mention that she's done more interviews now in a day or two than she did the entire campaign.

She'll be on 'Dancing with the Stars' sometime in the future, that's as high as she'll go. She's definitely star-struck by the big city though, and I bet that annoys the living hell out of Todd.

25. The O.J. Simpson Trial set the 24 Hour news Cycle in motion,

placing obsessive focus on one or two stories, (often self-promoting personalities) that may not be highly relevant. While, informative national and global issues go unreported.
