What if politicians were paid proportionally to how well their states or districts were doing?
Pros: The only people going into politics would be those who really cared about the people they were governing, not slimy opportunists with hidden agendas.

Cons: There might be States or congressional districts that no one would EVER want to run for office in.

What do you think?

Why would 2 guys spend 1 billion dollars to win a job that pays $400,000 a year?

4. Politician's pay should be based on an average of
the pay of his/her constituents. Might make them a little more aware of what their people are living on. The high rollers would distort the average but should help bring the issue of minimum wage front and center.
