20. I'm used to him but last weekend I was with my daughter when he came on the TV.

She said "Mom, who the HELL is that?" and doubled right over laughing. I reminded her that when I was a little girl, I had a lazy eye which was MOSTLY corrected with a patch and a corrective lens (they didn't have surgery back then). I say MOSTLY because it still manifests itself when I'm really tired or when I've had that third or fourth glass of wine. Funny.

38. I spent a couple of years going around training management consultants

Sometimes I would watch the trainee and sometimes the trainee would watch me.

One time I was handling an especially aggressive situation that would require huge changes in the companies operations and management. Every argument they put up I decimated and it became clear to everyone involved that the company had no chance but to follow my instructions to save the company.

My trainee at that time was a guy with a single eye and he wore an eye patch.


Finally exhausted the other team of 6 people agreed to the changes and asked me what the other fellow was there for because in the last 2 hours he hadn't said a word.

I looked at him and said with a straight face, "They send him out to keep his eye on me."

They laughed until tears flowed and I was extremely proud of the fact that I never broke a grin.
