Why DUers should never stop talking about Sarah Palin as long as she's in the news
People aren't starting so many threads about her just for something to do. The woman is dangerous. She's dangerous because of what she stands for and because there are a lot of fools who think she's the second coming.

She stands for so much of what is still wrong with our country, and she proves that part of our country is still loony enough that almost half of them would put someone in the White House who is even dumber than Bush and just as dangerous as he is. As long as she's wallowing in all that attention, we can't ignore her no matter how much we all just wish she'd go away.

Sarah Palin stands for everything that good decent people would never put up with for a minute. As long as she's a factor, we have to let the country know that we'll never stand for a nutcase like her setting foot in the White House, not after what we've already been through.

1. I disagree with you one point.
I feel she's far more dangerous than Bush. Bush is stupid, but he's just a puppet.
She will not be anybody's puppet, which means rather than just evil, you'd have evil AND completely batshit crazy.

9. I have to disagree with you. In order for her to get anywhere up the ladder, she will HAVE to be

somebody's puppet. sorry. But I just think that most, if not all, politicians are whores. Everyone belongs to someone. She can't navigate the political landscape on her own and she certainly doesn't have the connections to bring in the money it costs to get past the primaries and onwards into the general election.

12. She obviously doesn't take direction at all.
So if somebody is pulling her strings, they're doing a terrible job.

13. I agree w/ you that she didn't take any directions....yet. But then again she was just a minor
player, and in a sick experiment, got thrown in the big leagues. If they are serious about her, they will mold her into their bush 3.0 version, get their game plan on and push her forward like they did with the current idiot. If she cannot be molded, she will not get aywhere politically. She'll fade away like we all expect. Just my opinion.

2. Palin reminds be of Bush.
I would fear her getting into the Whitehouse.
She could be worse than Bush.
I see that the right wing has latched onto her. We know who
they will nominate in 2012. Most likely it will be her.

3. Just as Bush is a more extreme version of Ray-gun, Palin is a more
extreme version of Bush: Dumber, crazier, more incomprehensible, and more fanatically devoted to a dumb, crazy, incomprehensible god. We need to keep a close watch in this person.

4. Bush took at to the edge of the cliff and...
it seems the economy may fall over the cliff still.
What does that leave for Palin to do? :scared:

5. Sarah is great because she cuts into Huckabee's base and because people
don't much like her (except fundies)

I want to keep her around because as the face of the Repo party, she makes it look pretty bad to a lot of folks.

Did any of you happen to read the polling on her? She drove down the numbers. She's dangerous to the Repos. I'm all for that.

6. Palin in the White House = Nuclear Holocaust
She believes it is perfectly reasonable to nuke the world to bring on Rambo Jeebus and the Rupture. She is barking mad and a narcissistic sociopath to boot. She should be shoved to the front of the Repig party to insure a 40-42 state re-election win for Obama in 2012. Sadly, the least educated and most racist, rural states will still vote for what Andrew Sullivan has called this "mannequin" but there is no hope in those places, only a deep and abiding ignorance, DUers in those states exempted.

11. She is very dangerous - to some extent we "misunderestimated" Bush
and look at the price we paid. She is very scary and dangerous and if there is even a 5% chance that she could be prez it is really scary. Tear her down on her incompetance and general scariness.

14. I think a lot of our questions do reach the media too. So, it's worthwhile asking pertinent question...
