Comapre and contrast, Richardson vs. Clinton for SoS?
Who do you think would be better for the job given their skill set and diplomatic experience and please explain why specifically. I'd be interested in seeing the arguments from both sides. Thanks

1. Richardson is a Good Choice. Clinton isn't.
But the Clintons hate 'Judas' Richardson, so they are doing everything in their power to snuff his chances.

3. Please explain to me how the Clintons can "snuff his chances".
I don't think either of them have that much influence with Obama. He will choose the person who he feels is best for the position.

5. they don't have influence with Obama directly so they 'leak' to the public
in hopes that the people will put pressure on Obama.

It didn't work for VP. It won't work now.

9. Oh, please...........
Why would Hillary want to be in his cabinet anyway? She's far better off in the senate where she's independent and not having to take orders from Obama.

10. I agree with most of your post, except the part about
Clinton not being a good choice. I actually think it would be better to have Hillary in the cabinet, as part of the administration, than sitting in the Senate plotting a way to run against Obama in 2012.

I think Clinton, Richardson and Kerry are all well-qualified for the job. And frankly, the only reason I'd like to see it go to Clinton is stated above.

I know it's going to piss off alot of DUers, but that's too bad. I don't trust either one of the Clinton's and I never will.

16. I don't recall Richardson every threatening to obliterate another country...
that's not the kind of vocablulary a responsible SoS should have.

8. Well, Richardson is Judas.
Which I guess makes Hillary Clinton Jesus.

Why don't you want Jesus for Secretary of State?

Stupid anti-religious DU!

11. this is all speculation and assuming, we do not know
what was said in that meeting with Obama and Clinton, and I wouldn't believe in what Andrea Mitchell says. There are a few who are interested in the position. Kerry, Richardson, Hagel was mentioned too.
