Obama won't take Lieberman's calls!
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/14/1230/8671/133/660919

Doesn't sound like Barack Obama is being that conciliatory to Joe Lieberman:

Sen. Joe Lieberman has reached out to President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden to arrange a congratulatory phone call, a Democratic aide tells The Crypt. The effort has led to a recent conversation between Biden and Lieberman.

So Lieberman called Obama to congratulate him (and suck up to try and save his committee chairmanship), and Obama hands him off to Biden.

Nice to see Obama is refusing to join the Lieberman kiss-ass squad.

1. Lieberman the leach
He was sucking off McCain's ass and now he wants to suck up to Obama.

2. Obama has to take over
the most fucked up government in the history of the United States. He doesn't have time to waste.

Actually, come to think of it, the same with Biden.

3. Lieberman wants to plead his case and Obama is not going there
I think telling Joe to "talk to the hand..." or maybe "get in touch with my future chief of staff" with any questions or concerns would be good form for Joe.

And of course he's whining to someone that Obama won't talk to him!

5. You can't blame him. lieberman left the Democrats, campaigned with mccain,
called Obama unAmerican with questionable associates, and indicated that Obama would be bad for the country

liberman made his bed and can sleep in it

11. Amen!
He should have thought of the consequences before he let his mouth fly off. Some of the things he said while campaigning for McCain were things that can't simply be forgotten.

Lieberman can't decide which side he's on. Translated that means that Lieberman wants to be on whichever side does LIEBERMAN the most good.

Time to go, Joe.

25. That sums it up pretty well.
He has no reason to be surprised that Obama wants nothing to do with him.

20. Two bits says they scripted the talk and Barack was listening in....
Biden would be chuckling under his breath while Barack would be holding back a huge belly laugh.

15. I hope that's not true. Lieberman is an asshole, but that behavior makes Obama look like Bush.
I don't think that could be true. I believe that Obama is a better person than that. I've had enough with petty people in office.

I just don't believe this story. A president shouldn't act like a jr. high school student, and I don't believe Obama would.

16. I totally hope it's true. Give him a quick "Hey bud. what's up?"
"You know....I'm really busy trying to figure out how to fix all this crap you helped support. Why don't you speak to my vice president, Joe Biden. He loves to talk."

And people wonder why I keep telling them that Obama knows what the hell he's doing.

It also reenforces my opinion that Biden is going to be the traffic cop for the Senate.

24. I can just picture it - Here Joe, you take it. I don't want to talk to him.
Joe - I don't want to talk to him either.

Barack - Hey - I'm the boss.

Joe - Yeah - first you make me go visit Cheney. Now this.

Barack - I had to go visit Bush, quit your complaining.

Joe - Well I did go see Cheney after I called him the most dangerous VP in history, so I guess I can handle Lieberman.

:)
