11. Yes--except 1972 for a couple of days--
When Sen. George McGovern choose the and convention ratified Sen. Tom Eagleton of MO as his running mate--however he was dropped from the ticket--and Amb. Sargent Shriver took his place.

Catholics outnumber non-Catholics and are (coincidentally) the most conservative.

And yet abortion is legal.

They have their marching orders from the GOP. Hands off Roe, we need fundie suckers money.
