1. I don't think people like Hillary or Kerry need vetting at this point.
We know who they are, where they come from, their point of view, their accomplishments, etc.

None of us knew who Palin was. We sure do now...

The vice president's name appears on the ballot alongside the president's. The vice president cannot be fired.

VP vetting should be much greater than SOS vetting (even if McCain didn't bother.)
