That position would allow him to stonewall any investigation of the myriad criminal acts committed by the Bush administration. It would further allow him, should he once again decide that President Obama is a "marxist" or a "socialist" or someone who "pals around with terrorists" to initiate another in a series of bullshit, politically-motivated "investigations" of the type which hamstrung the Clinton administration during the Big Dog's second term. Sorry, Joe, we can probably find a slot for you, and feel free to continue to caucus with the Dems; but if your price is Homeland Security and Government Affairs, fuck off.
