This is why I think Tweety's annoying... |
|
Not that I haven't loved him at moments this election season -- for example right after the Obamamercial -- BUT...
He asks a question to a guest. They start to answer. He interrupts, and asks another question. They start to answer (the first question? Second?). He interrupts again. You never actually get to hear what the other person wanted to say! Drives me crazy!!!
OK, rant off...

but i don't watch her much. Doesn't seem like a good interview technique!
Welcome to DU -- you joined on the day of my wedding! :D

6. I'm with you! As you said, he does have moments where he shines, but most of the time |
|
he's doing exactly what you said - asking questions, interrupting the answer, asking another question - so it just serves to annoy me more and more, till I turn it off altogether.

9. I think he interrupts when they start going.... |
|
...into talking points instead of actually answering the question. Honestly, I wanted to interrupt them all the time when they become predictable.

to hear the person's answer, but noooooo...

If someone is actually trying to answer the question, or if they are making too much sense, or if their sense is not in keeping with his idea of where the interveiw should end up...
I'm sick of most talking heads right now. Especially after that dumbass who interviewed Ayers on ABC this morning... he did exactly the same thing.

15. Sometimes well most times Charlie Rose does that but the guest doesn't need a spit shield. |
|
like ok Charlie we know you want us to think you're super duper intelligent and all but tighten it up dude and let them answer.

18. Agreed. "Hardball" isn't baffling and badgering an interviewee |
|
It should be getting answers to the tough, insightful questions not being asked or answered. Matthews is just a shouter without any coherent approach to interviewing.

20. I get the impression he is very insecure, he interrupts constantly... |
|
and he thinks he is the only one who knows anything, (quite the contrary there).
I thin he is terrified of being seen as an idiot, so he has to talk incessantly, he is one of the more rude pundits out there, and he doesn't stick to his positions for any length of time, he spins like a sparrow in a tornado.
