I hope Obama's administration shuts out FOX News until it becomes a real news station |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 11:02 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
FOX news is a Republican propaganda station, not a news channel.

1. Yep! Obama's White House should label FOX News "entertainment" |
|
and thus no press credentials.

6. Ummm, although Fox sucks, do you want to demolish the first amendment? |
|
I would love to see the swine at Fox "news" burn in acid.
But if that can be done to them today, what's to prevent Olberman, Maddow et. al. from being boiled in oil tomorrow?
Although the past eight years indicate otherwise, we are a country of laws. And what can be done to those we disagree with today, can also be done to those we agree with.
I'd prefer to stick with, ummm, let me think for a moment. Oh, yeah, it's called Democracy.

9. 1st Amendment does not give Fox the right to the White House press room. |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 11:18 PM by Touchdown
It gives them a right to say whatever their little minds want, but de-legitimizing their anti-democratic rhetoric by not giving them White House credentials is not a violation of the First Amendment.

15. Exactly. Besides, they really truly are nothing more than The Enquirer... |
|
and even if The Enquirer called itself a newspaper, it would still just be a gossip magazine. FOX calls itself a news station, when it's actually the GOP Opinion and Propaganda Channel.

Refusing to grant them special access is hardly the same as muzzling or censoring them. :eyes:

saturate it, but only if they can be as pitbullish as the talking head are.
At least this way the zombies can see the people they are being told to hate, and maybe judge for themselves a litle bit. Sunshine is the best disinefectant.

that doesn't mean they have to be called upon. the bushies did not call on liberal or progressive reporters.

I think it would be great if they called on the Talking Heads, listened to the retarded question, and give an answer that is very difficult to spin. WHy should we be afraid?
Obviously the Bushies were afraid of anyone that might challenge the talking points.
No More Fear - we should be in the Age of Reason.

23. The great thing about excluding FOX is that all the other stations.... |
|
will consistently be WAY ahead of them in terms of news. Eventually, their ratings will drop to hell even among the little rat-faced nazi-thinking Repukes themselves, and they will be forced to rethink what they are.

If you do, then you can tell me when that network became a news station. I still refuse to watch it after their lack of objectivity and sexist reporting during the primaries.

there is a difference. MSNBC news anchors during the day are relatively unbiased. It's their nighttime lineup that is liberal and they don't try to hide that. Fox, on the other hand, has far right anchors doing their news AND right wing commentators at night like Bill O'Reilly who say they're objective. You'll never hear Maddow or Olbermann say they're objective.
