No Republicans in federal representation. Democratic Governor - Few Republicans in state House and Senate.

We can thank Mitt Romney for making that possible.

Edited on Sat Nov-15-08 12:09 PM by Eric J in MN
There wasn't a governor's race this year, and we still have a Republican governor.

The US House seats remained 5 Democrats and 3 Republicans (a Republican Congressman retired but another Republican man won his seat.)

In the US Senate, we still have Amy Klobuchar (D), but a recount will determine if we still have Norm Coleman (R) or Al Franken (D.)

Well, I worked to oust him. Sadly, that will probably never happen now. On the bright side, he is such a dim bulb that he will probably never rise within the Republican ranks to any position of real power. Otherwise it was a pretty good year for us in my home state.

At least we have a chance to gerrymander FotF to a very blue district and kick Lamborn out in 2010 or 2012.

Expanded state legislature majorities...And clean sweep of our congressional delegation; even in the solid red east side ( a sort of conservative Dem, but nothing else could possibly win there, and Teague is a decent guy by all accounts, and he beat a right wing loony repub). Love having Heather ( HELP!!!! I saw a nipple on TV) Wilson out of congress....And of course we still have Bill Richardson as Gov; who knows for how much longer, but a Dem Lt. Gov ( Diane Denish) ready to go if Richardson becomes Sec. of State etc...

44. Pennsylvania is interesting ... our Lt. Gov just died, so we have Dem gov and Repub Lt. gov.
I think this is the first time the two have been from different parties. In Pennsylvania, if the governor leaves or dies (like when Tom Ridge went to Homeland Security) the lt. gov moves up and the state senate president pro tem takes on the lt. gov's duties. Same if the Lt. Gov leaves or dies.

Our Democratic Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll just died from cancer complications. So we have Democrat Ed Rendell as gov and Republican Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati as Lt. Gov (I believe he will do both jobs, as Senate Pro Tem Robert Jubelirer did when Schweiker became gov when Ridge went to Bush admin).

We are a blue state ... but if anything were to happen to Ed Rendell ... eek!
