Our Next Secretary of State Needs To Hit The Ground Running. Things Are So Mangled Up |
|
globally, whoever gets the slot will need to have stellar Diplomatic and Management skills and the necessary RELEVANT experiences necessary to do the job from Day One.
I can think of a few people who are highly qualified for this position, regardless of what they did or did not do during the last POTUS election.
Take Wes Clark. He knows quite a few heads of state and has dealt with them on an Executive level. He's brokered Peace Accords and made life or death decisions on a strategic level.
Hillary Clinton is UNDER-qualified compared to these people. Please note, I did not say she was UN-qualified compared to a number of others.
But her resume when it comes to the job of S of S pales in comparison to others who would be able to bring actual EXPERTISE to the job.
Would Hillary rise to the occasion after a year or so? Probably, but we don't have a year or so.
