20. McCain thought he could kill two birds with one stone (and missed!) |
|
He thought he could appeal to the base and get the "PUMA" vote by picking Mooselini. As we can see, it failed.

21. I guess so--they acted as a red herring. |

McCain should have realized that the crazies would line up behind him regardless of who he chose (except maybe Joe Asslicker).

As in, "Hillary Worship Carrie Bradshaw Style."
oh, and we'll act like we're really cool and hip by never using capital letters. that will show everyone how sophisticated we are. because we don't need no steenkin' capitals. we much prefer to force people to work harder to figure out what we're trying to say by making it harder to tell where our sentences begin and end.
Feh.
Editing to add: I just read some of their more recent garbage. Oh. My. God. Touting Sarah Palin as their feminist hero (not only because merely by being a VP candidate with a vagina, she was obviously a Feminist, but because of her hot rawkin' designer wardrobe). Worshiping Fred Thompson's trophy wife Jeri because "I spied her super sexy leopard-print manolos in St. Paul. Sass, guts and cool shoes…I knew I liked this gal!"
The whole slogan of this site seemed to be: "Gals, don't feel guilty about wearing that robe and hood with your Jimmy Choos...white sheets go with ANYTHING!"

6. OTOH, HillaryIs44.com is still ranting and raving... |
|
...as of today, they're lambasting Obama for resigning his Senate seat. :eyes:
(If I recall, wasn't the creator of that site revealed to be a Perot-Nader backer with no ties to the Democratic Party, except for trying to tear it down as much as possible?)

gee, it's almost like it had nothing to do with Hillary and was an orchestrated ploy to divide the Democratic Party until a certain day in November...

|
November 11, 2008: Closure of www.HillaryClintonForum.net
After 9 months, and after devoting seemingly thousands of hours to the administration of this forum, it's time to draw the curtain. I hope those who participated in the HCF during the election found the experience productive. It was like a rollercoaster, and we had some amazing times, that's for sure. Now, however, it's time for me (& maybe you all too!) to take a rest. For me "the battle" is over. I had wanted to move the forum in a different direction to be more inclusive of all people, regardless of political preference, but clearly now is not the right time for that. As such, I have tonight decided, without endless discussion & division, to close the forum until further notice. Maybe in the future some time we can try again at "CommonGroundPolitics" when emotions are less raw. Til then, be well.
Best of luck to everyone,
Admin.
