REC This If Obama OWES YOU!
I donated. I voted. I registered voters. And I'm NOT a member of any special interest group - and that make me a minority!

I want an Ambassadorship to Amsterdam, or a spot as Secretary of KGB, (all you chronic users know what I mean).

What Does Obama OWE YOU?

4. I dontated, I voted, I registered voters, I canvassed
I got what I wanted when he won the election. He faces a disasterous economy and two wars. I will give him all the time he needs to do what he said he wants to do.

Even my Republican brother who lives in SW MO said yesterday he will support Obama 100% and prays he can help this country get back on track. He said wants to vote for Obama in 2012. I hadn't called him to rub it in and I didn't bring up politics when he called yesterday. He did. When he said that I went silent and got tears in my eyes. When I was back there in July we spent a week at a lake house and had many spirited political debates (I am the liberal in the family) and when I was leaving he told me that "you probably convinced both my sons to vote for Obama."

... during a 2004 campaign speech in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

"Four more years and America will be safe and the world will be at peace." (July 20, 2004)

I'm sure he'll come through during his last 65 days or so.

10. I want him to be faithful to His God, His Wife, and His Family.
He owes me the ability to find a job, raise a family, live a life free of unnecessary government involvement (ie. I don't want the government on my phone, in my library check up records, and checking my patriotic protest).

If he can get me health care, a retirement (more than a 401K), help me work as long as I can work (not throw me out of work because I make more than a 25 year old), and pull together a social network locally which embraces community policing; well life will just be grand.

12. Better question, what do I owe President-Elect Obama ?
He has made, and is continuing to make huge sacrifices. He has already given so many people around the globe, and here in America, hope and inspiration. He is working to a point of exhaustion, and will continue working in the most grueling job in the World.
What can I do now to contribute in a concrete way to making a positive difference ? He has inspired me to make sacrifices, to be an active participate in making a difference when our country so desperately needs it.
President-Elect Obama is doing more than his fair share.

14. I think he owes all of us who worked so damn hard to get him elected
to quit sticking up for Joe Liebermann.

I walked and walked along with thousands of other democrats in this country after work and on weekends. I made phone calls. I did not mind at all because I knew we had to fight to get him elected. But Joe Lieberman made that job harder. He campaigned for the republicans denigrating our candidate and our party at every turn.

Does he owe ME something? No. Does he owe US something? Yes. Let Joe go.

15. That sumbitch owes me a facelift
All those nights sitting up watching the same interviews over and over on three different news channels, pecking away at the keyboard, and rearranging my "Obama '08" refrigerator magnets to spell out "Fuck You, Bushy Boy!" were hell on my beauty sleep.

BTW, the husband says Obama owes him sex and lots of it for the reason spelled out in the paragraph above.

On election day, I donated a $100 because he said I'd get an Obama t-shirt for helping out. And you know what? I still haven't gotten it!! And it's been eleven days!!!!

I'm bitterly disillusioned. This is NOT change I can believe in.

34. Good luck on being ambassador to Amsterdam
Amsterdam is a city, and has no American embassy (that's in Den Haag, which is the capital of the Netherlands).

Obama owesme nothing, although I, too contributed the max, registered voters and voted, myself (in Texas--lotta
good THAT did me LOL).

However, Obama owes Howard Dean big time. I haven't heard Howard's name mentioned once by the Obama team since the
election. Whoever succeeds Howard at DNC has a tough act to follow. Hell, after what he has accomplished in the last
four years, Howard would have a tough time following his own act, which may be why he stepped down. If Howard ends
up going into the private sector, it will be some firm's gain, but our party's loss.

and you really shouldn't :)

I hate to explain things, but when I have to risk being thought of as someone that does not know enough to recognize that Amsterdam is a city, I've gotta apply the brakes.

This thread was in response to the many threads that popped up over the weekend stating that "Obama Owes Kerry" or "Obama Owes Clinton" or "Obama Owes Gays" or "Obama Owes Yer Mom", etc, ad nauseum.

Actually, I started three threads: "Obama Owes Star Trek", "Republicans Upset That Obama Picks Democrats", and "Obama owes YOU" (you're in it).

All three were satire, though some more obvious than others.
