Going to FR so you don't have to...

"You heard it hear first: Angelina Jolie will play Sarah Palin in a bio pic. The resemblance is there, folks, mainly the face shape and mouth"

"I wonder what that would be like, to have a babe for a president?"

Obama is skilled, he’s a skilled marxist. He is going to be very good at getting done the job. The problem is, we don’t want him to do what he is skilled at(this whole post was very funny to me. for some reason )

"I am a Sarah-holic. I’ve read and watched everything I could find, and I’ve asked myself why.
I’ve even asked myself whether I would still be a Sarah-holic if she looked like, oh say, Debbie Stabenow or Clare McCaskill, female politicians who are not especially attractive. But I’ve decided that’s a moot question, because Sarah is attractive. Her attractiveness is not just in her looks, but in her demeanor. She is sunny, cheerful, and optimistic - in a way that fills a room.
Most important, she is (in Margaret Thatcher’s phrase) “one of us.” She holds our values and she lives them. She visibly lives them in the most serious and basic ways. I trust her, and I trust her instincts. That’s the bottom line."

"I strongly admire the lady simply because of the impression she left with me when the teleprompter went down and I listened to her speak for 25 minutes using her own brain. Then add to that that she was very relaxed and comfortable speaking to the audience while she explained her position. You have no idea how much I think America needs her or someone like her at the helm."(for what its worth the the telepromper thing was proven to be BS months ago)

"Because she’s attractive, down-to-earth, articulate and smart and many of the MALE members of the MSM hate her because her balls are probably much bigger than theirs. The alleged FEMALE members hate her for the reasons listed at the top."

"Dennis Miller said it best. Northeastern liberal women are jealous of Sarah's healthy sex life with that guy named Todd. They don't understand how such a thing could be possible."
(in response to that)
"I think Miller's right. Of all her extraordinary accomplishments, they hate her most because of First Dude." (Yes, I dream all day of that hunk Todd Palin...)

"Sarah reminds me of myself on a much smaller scale. In suits, pantyhose, heels and makeup at work, I tried my best to be professional, fair and unbiased to my employees, but at home I enjoy, hunting, fishing, clamming and cutting, splitting and stacking our 8-10 cords of wood we burn yearly. If I fit the description of a red neck, then I'm proud of it and I'm certainly proud of Sarah"

"I’m all for Palin starting her Presidential campaign now. I’d give her $100 a month for the next four years."

"Palin could have saved McCain, if McCain would have allowed her to do so..put her front and center instead of out of sight.I truly feel McCain didn’t like her popularity in the same way Prince Charles was jealous of Princess Dianans popularity."

"I miss her dearly. (((hugs to Sarah)))"
(in response to that)
"Do you suppose she knows how much we miss her?..."

I'm confident Reagan and Thatcher, as well as Thomas Jefferson, would have much admired this grand lady who personifies Thomas J's ideal of the citizen-politician.

"It’s her inner joy that makes her smile all the time. I wish her the very best."

"Sarahcuda the conservative savior and doing what I can to stop the marxist... that's why my wife and I voted."
(in response)
"My wife and I are in complete agreement and voted for exactly the same reasons. We'll have to get together for tea some time ...if that's allowed under a Marxist regime." (Barack is known for his hatred of tea)

51. That's one thing I've never understood, either.
I don't want someone like me to be president - I want somebody a lot smarter, you know? Sure, I consider myself reasonably intelligent, but I'm also pretty sure I'd be a lousy president. The ability to connect and empathize with ordinary folks is one thing, and I can understand why that's an appealing quality in a politician. However, when it comes to being in charge of the country, I'd much rather have a more standoffish person who knows what the hell he/she is doing than have someone who's friendly and folksy but doesn't know his/her ass from a hole in the ground. Maybe that's just me, though. :hi: Peace.

(I know it's unrelated, but I just had to try out this shiny new smiley! :fistbump: )

a living except meddle in the politics of Alaska? When does he go to work?

They're both scheming 'grifters' as someone pegged them. And I don't care if they have to be pulled apart with a crowbar. Dennis Miller was doing a bit of projecting when he said that we're jealous of Scarabou Barbie and her sex life. Either he doesn't have one or he's jealous of the first dude.

The only extent to which I care about her sex life is that she needs to quit breeding. She a shitful mother just like she's a disgusting human being.

But damn, that was funny to read. Wonder if they've found all the underwear Scarabou's dad said the kids lost. You know, the RNC undies that apparently Mom and Dad didn't supply for the little tykes.

And while I'm here...Thomas Jefferson was a rationalist. Unlike Palin and much of the GOP, he belonged to the Reality-Based Community.

Jefferson especially despised charlatans who appealed to emotions and not reason. While he and Ben Franklin were in Paris, they exposed the pseudo-scientific claptrap being peddled by Franz Mesmer. Jefferson spotted the cheap mob psychology at work immediately.

And boy, did Jefferson know how to deal with preachers who pissed him off. No hellfire-and-brimstone sermon from the pulpit ever matched Jefferson's blasting of those Bible-thumping, tax-exempt elitists:

"You judge rightly that I am not afraid of priests. They have tried upon me all their various batteries of hypocritical whining, canting and lying without being able to give me one moment of pain.

Their sway in New England is indeed formidable. No mind beyond mediocrity dares there to develop itself."

that she believes that the Pledge of Allegiance was handed down from the Founding Fathers complete with "under God", and that she doesn't realize the difference between a continent and a nation wrt Africa.

I think that unlike the freepers, who form a small minority of the American public at large, everyone else is going to remember all too well how quickly the world changed for the worse when a narcissistic fool stole the White House.

If they insist on hitching their stars to that narcissistic fool Sarah Palin, we'll never have to worry about them again.

The whole birth certificae thing is ridiculous,.

Just for talking sake even if he was born in Kenya, why would his parents go to so much trouble to lie about it and say he was born in America? Because they wanted him to run for president one day? What where the chances of that ever happening?

58. These people are in another galaxy
Watching Palin's interview on CNN today, all I could think was that she truly is a moron, that my initial reaction was not due to the heat of the campaign. If there has been a dumber national politician in the last 40 years (not named GW Bush), I don't know who it is.

62. So glad that Obama is a skilled Marxist
I never actually realized that Marxism was considered a skill, but I'd hate to think of an unskilled Marxist being president.
