1. No, they are too much in the pockets of the powerful health care
and PHRMA lobbyists.

4. Especially PhRMA.
Which is run by the former Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman, Billy Tauzin. It was Tauzin railroaded the Medicare Prescription Drug Bill through Congress, then he left office to take a multi-million dollar yearly salary from PhRMA, which was the group which effectively wrote that bill.

6. I am so pissed with that.
I refused to partake of it because of the principle, but my prescription drugs were getting so expensive that I decided to look into it for the new enrollment period. Well, not only am I going to be penalized for waiting so long, but I can't find any plan that gives me a decent break. So one of my more expensive medications is of dubious value anyway, so I'm going to stop taking it. I can't deal with these people anymore. I hope when Obama takes over the government that he gets his H&HR secretary to working on fixing this ASAP.

5. They generally have one track minds when it comes to health care...
All they want to talk about is increasing competition. Competition makes sense when you're talking about consumer goods, but not when the "commodity" is life and death issues and what should be a basic right of all human beings. Health care should be a part of the commons just like all other essential services like the fire department, police, roads and bridges, etc.
