My husband's observation on the interview. He's very impressed and thinks we're in good hands. :fistbump:

2. Not this year, though I'm such a geek he's tried to remain an
observer to counter me. I'd be excited about something every day, he'd look at me and say, "I've got one vote." :eyes:

He has shown quite a bit of enthusiasm when he's heard a speech or at other times.

8. I too thought about the Kennedys as I watched 60 Minutes, and I was

struck by both the similarities and the differences between the Kennedys and the Obamas.

The Kennedys were charming, gracious, intelligent, but as close to an American aristocracy as ever existed.

The Obamas are charming, gracious, intelligent, and very much engaged in the same trials and challenges as the average American.

(OOPS! Intended to reply to the OP.)

9. True that, but I guess Kennedy left an impression; I was alive, but
was 7 when he was killed and don't remember all that much. My husband is a bit older, and does remember hearing him. This was his response tonight. I don't think social positions were what impressed him.

And don't forget, only 3 channels with honest journos then.

3. Obama isn't bogged down
with trying to lie to the American People..only wanting to do the best.

Plus, they've got some of the sweetest personalities I've seen and they're our Prez and First Lady to be!

4. That's it, zidzi! If you can tell the truth, and not try to be someone
you're not, it has got to be so much easier.

I think of the dim one and the swagger, when he was probably masking his inadequacies-that's if he was even honest enough with himself to admit he had them.

5. Yeah, they reminded me of the Kennedys
so young and fresh with great ideas--and yet more like "every man" than the Kennedys were.

15. But the Kennedy's were never that romantic....
... at least not in any recording I've ever seen.

7. I just want a president that will tell me why he's making a decision
and not fucking lie at every turn like the freaks we've had with the Bush clan. I have great trust in our President Elect. He wants to do the right thing and they're smart!

13. I thought that Mrs. Obama was much better that Mrs.
Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy had a chip on her shoulder and it really showed when she lived in the White House. Both men are very much alike and Obama, like Kennedy, has the respect of most Americans.

14. I'm not sure I really believed it happened until this interview. I had tears in my eyes...
as I realized that our long national nightmare is really ending. Your husband is right: we are, at long last, in extraordinarly good hands.
