Change.bgThis is going to be the campaign that launched a thousand resumes, and a reader sends in this San Francisco Craigslist ad:
Seeking an individual with experience as staff or volunteer on Obama's campaign to direct a change-oriented political party's 2009 parliamentary election campaign in Bulgaria. The goal is to replicate some of the successful strategies used by the Obama campaign in an effort to organize and leverage the political support of a growing middle-class of citizens who share a common desire for major change in politics and public policies.
The political party's platform will center on policies that favor average, hard-working, and honest Bulgarian citizens (e.g., reduce costs of necessities and day care, reduce corruption in politics, enforce tax evasion by wealthy individuals/companies, strengthen rule of law, improve economic growth and amount of good jobs).
The political party is led by a progressive media consortium owner with substantial resources and newspaper network.
The position will be based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Bulgarian language preferred. Expenses will be paid and stipend is negotiable. Position available immediately.
Please contact us about this exciting, history-making opportunity:
- to seek for the first time to replicate in another part of the world the groundbreaking campaign model developed by the Obama campaign,
- to harness and organize a growing movement for change, and
- to make a real difference in a country that has been plagued by special interest politics.
