A Winnowing-out Wish
After Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina cause several candidates to drop out, I think it would be great if we were left with these three:

Clark
Dean
Edwards

They are all attractive candidates, but in different ways. Moreover, they have been quite civil with each other (shame on Lieberman and Kerry).

I'd love to see these men in a debate. And may the best man win!

1. I would like to see
a Gephardt-Edwards contest in the end. This would be a memorable battle.

2. Like this?
USA Today, April 28, 2003
>>>>
"Until now, the competition has been relatively harmonious, at least for public consumption, with the exception of Dean. His attacks on fellow Democrats have been so cutting that sometimes the Republican National Committee e-mails them to party members. "Gephardt Plan: 'Pie-In-The-Sky Radical Revamping' " was the headline on one last week, quoting Dean.

Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and Rep. Richard Gephardt of Missouri have been Dean targets in recent weeks. But Dean has reserved his sharpest thrusts for Kerry, repeatedly accusing him of selling out Democratic principles. The two men are virtually tied for the lead in polls in New Hampshire, which holds the critically important first primary election."

btw...he his sharpest attacks on Kerry part...much of that time Kerry was OFF the campaign trail during his cancer surgery and recovery period.

Dean is the disgrace of this primary. His character showed right there.

6. Not the point. He was OFF the trail.
And when you lose your parents in 2001 and 2002 and then face your own cancer, you're bound to be in a tough place.

Don't think for a second that Dean, as a doctor, wouldn't be aware of that.

You can applaud that behavior if you like, and reward it...I will not.
