After watching the 60 minutes interview last night... |
|
I'm not going to worry about who Obama names to what cabinet post.
I won't care if every "group" is represented adequately.
I won't care about the vetting process of Hillary or anyone else.
I know that the right decision will be made in each case.
Why?
Because after watching that interview last night, one thing became abundantly clear:
the President-Elect is a freakin' grown-up.... for the first time in a long time.

2. Amazing how comforting that is |
|
I agree. We finally have someone running the show that isnt playing political games but hoping to do whats best for the country.
It has been a long time coming. Probably the first time I have seen it in my 42 years on this planet and I find it amazingly comforting.

3. Maybe not "in each case," but definitely in most. And... |
|
...we just need to be vigilant and persistent with the rest.

4. Throughout the interview, we were sitting there saying things like ... |
|
"We have a President who can answer a question! We have a President with thoughts and ideas and the ability to think things through. He reads! He gathers information from multiple sources before making a decision, yet he completely recognizes that the final decision will be his alone. He's a grown-up!!!"

7. Also, I liked what he said about doing things that work. |
|
If they don't work, he will change his policy. I was apprehensive about both Hillary's and his centrism, the reason that I supported neither in the primaries. I feel a little bit better now about allowing him to make mistakes. He has assured me he will not continue with any policy that has proven not to be workable.
I have a President that is not only brilliant and charismatic, but who is practical, a realist and who can learn from his mistakes too.

8. I know I was watching his eyes |
|
and you could see real intelligent thoughts going through them. I found myself almost crying when asked about closing the prison or not he answered firmly yes immediately and said we are not a country that tortures. It was very strong.
I could tell when he wants to make something crystal clear he will.
